About This Listing
Sattva is one of your 4 bedrooms. It has en suite bathroom with shower. The room has a four poster bed and all the furniture has been handmade by local artisan. The walls are in a light coloured tadelakt which is a particular stucco traditionally used in Marrakech's riads. It has a firm and comfortable mattress,
Air-condition and heating.
Our riad is conveniently located in the area of Bab Doukkala, which is close to the modern quarters of Gueliz and Hivernage and also to the famous Jemaa el Fna square.
Good stay at Riad Atman. About a ten minute walk into the square. The food on offer at the Riad more on the pricey side if you are on a budget. Good breakfast included. Comfortable room and Jamilla was very helpful.
It was a really great stay at the riad. The transfer from the airport was done without any problems. When we arrived Jamila helped us with the baggage and gave us a welcome drink and Patisserie morroccan. She is very nice and likes to help. The Riad is very clean and beautiful. Your are 5 to 10 minutes from the "Place" and 2 minutes from the Bus Station. Youre very central. We are looking forward to our next stay.
We had a delightful stay in March 2015. Ory helped pave the way to a good experience by arranging to have her favored taxi driver Ahmed pick us up at the train station (he can pick up from the airport too). Ahmed knew exactly where to take us. Jamila, the riad's housekeeper, came out to the taxi when we arrived to walk us into the medina to the riad.
The above is important because once Riad Atman is found, it is easy to find again. However, the first time search for it through narrow alleys can be intimidating.
Jamila is an excellent cook and made dinner for us. It is the best we tasted in Marakech! Ask her for her short menu.
The riad is off the main traffic corridors, so is calm and quiet. All rooms are clean and nicely decorated.
Jamina speaks Arabic and French. Her husband, who is around occasionally, speaks English.
We recommend Riad Atman without reservations.
Ory and Jamila did an amazing job making us feel at home with great tips and a really relaxed vibe.
Lovely cosy Riad in a great location.
Thanks again for making our weeks holiday fabulous
We had the most incredible time.
Ory was such a warm and natural hostess, and Jamila couldn't have been more helpful or lovely.
Our room was so comfortable and breakfast was a highlight of our holiday! Also one night we had dinner cooked by Jamila, and I think it was probably the best food we had in our week in Marrakesh!
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING! :)
A lovely riad in a great part of the medina. The room was beautiful with a gorgeous en suite (though the beds were a little hard for our liking!). We were there in winter so the heating in the room was a huge plus as well as the super cosy blankets. The riad housekeeper Jamila greeted us on our arrival and made us feel very welcome as well as preparing a great breakfast in the morning. There was a slight mixup with our taxi to the airport but that was probably brought about by a bit of a language barrier and our poor french skills!
We particularly enjoyed the location - we had no problem finding the riad by ourselves but the location might be a bit tricky if its your first time in the city. We had stayed closer to the main square in Marrakech before but this brought us to a quieter and very interesting part of the city. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Great little affordable riad, with lovely hosts.

About the Host, Ory
