About This Listing
Enjoy contemporary living in my 3BR house on North Queen Anne, just minutes away from Fremont, Ballard, and the top of the hill. Modern design, clean and full of light, and plenty of space will make you feel right at home.
Relax and enjoy the view in my contemporary bungalow situated on Queen Anne, one of Seattle's best neighborhoods. Just minutes from Downtown and other popular neighborhoods, including Ballard and Fremont. You can either rent the entire house or if the entire house is not available, you can just rent the basement (see my other listing - note that the whole house is rarely available for more than 5 nights). There's a big wrap around deck with a lovely twinkling lights view looking into north Seattle and on a clear day you can see the Cascades.
The house features three well appointed bedrooms, including one with a crib. The downstairs was recently remodeled with bamboo hardwood flooring, custom shoji screen doors, a pleasant sitting room, a gas insert fireplace, and a super comfy media room that has an oversized 61" HDTV (including satellite, Apple TV, etc). There's also a ping pong table in the garage (along with a ping pong robot -- don't ask).
Upstairs there is a fully stocked kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances, a gas range, an open living room with big windows and lots of light (well, as much light as you're going to get in Seattle). There's also a full bathroom, a master bedroom, an office with a digital piano (and tons of sheet music), and my son's room which for now has a crib. There's wi-fi throughout the whole house and a ton of parking all around the house.
You will have access to everything in my house, including a fully stocked kitchen for all your cooking needs, a digital piano, a media room with cable and Apple TV, as well as a deck and grill.
Interaction with Guests
If renting out the entire house, you will not see me at all. If renting out the basement, you will only see me as much as you want to. There is a door between the two floors as well as a small refrigerator in the basement so if you seek privacy, you should have everything you need (though you are more than welcome to enjoy the rest of the house).
While you can't smoke inside, you're welcome to indulge on the deck. That's about it as far as rules go.
The home was exactly as advertised, cozy, kid friendly and in a great neighborhood. Rob was very easy going and helpful, the rental went very smoothly. I highly recommend for guests looking for a suitable home for children, the house was well stocked with toys and books. Thanks Rob!
Great location, house just like the pictures, had some issues that the home owner took care of right away. The neighborhood is centrally located and allows access to all Seattle areas.
House could have been cleaner on arrival, but it is Seattle and there is no way to keep the outside, outside. Rob was also very graceful when there was a misunderstanding regarding when we were checking out.
We were welcomed by a home full of the stuff of an active young family - not sanitized for strangers. This was the ideal setting for our family to gather for Thanksgiving. The home was just as billed, offering only pleasant surprises not the least of which were the spectacular view, the remarkable decorating, the impressive artwork, and, to the delight of my 89 year old mother, a piano with music in which she delighted with hours of playing. Thanks Rob and Lia!
I would like to commend Rob and Lia's hospitality letting us stay there by the 5 of us (3 kids).
Our kids really enjoyed the toys the host left for us to help pass the time in the evenings.
The house was in great shape and the kitchen was a joy to cook in. The location was perfect for getting downtown, after we found a better way.
All in all, the house was in a great spot and it would be the place we would go to of we come back to Seattle and need easy access to downtown areas. Thanks for hosting!
My family (4 adults and 3 kids) stayed in Rob's whole house on Queen Anne for a couple of days and it was perfect.
Easy directions to find the place and well explained instructions for how to use everything at the house. Rob is a great communicator throughout the whole process, which makes the stay that much more relaxing. Def recommend his house or even just the basement room as it was all very clean, easy and fantastic views!
We loved staying at Rob's place. We stayed with our two boys (ages 11 & 15) and it was great to have separate spaces for kids and adults! The downstairs space feels like a separate, modern apartment and the open spaces on the main floor are great for enjoying coffee in the morning. Queen Anne is a great neighborhood with easy-access to great Seattle locations.
Rob also provided a superb list of restaurants, from casual to fancy, that were perfect for foodies. He was also VERY responsive for all our questions and curiosities. We would definitely stay again on another visit.
So we had three adults and two teenagers and needless to say there was plenty of room.
We were greeted in the evening with two large bay windows filled with light guiding and illuminating out path up to the front door. The door, sturdy and new, swung open into the spacious hardwood floored living room with an unobstructed view of the houses and trees below. The rooms were bright with color and walls were covered with art and photographs. "We made it!" as I plopped on to the couch next to the bay windows. I gathered my stuff and ventured down the hallway in search of bedrooms. Found three of them. Or more like two bedrooms and a music/bar room. At the end of the hallway was a children's room with an infant mattress, this bed is too small. To the right was the other bedroom with cool grey walls with a queen size bed with a memory foam. This one is just right. "I got dibbs on this one!" Downstairs was for the two teenagers and their mom. one of the kids exclaimed, "This TV has everything!" The downstairs worked out perfect for them. A giant lounging couch and a fold out couch for each of the kids and another queen size bed for the mom. Needless to say, I had my space and they had their space. We mainly rented in this location so that we could be closer to our cousins who lived in the Queen Anne area.
