  • My boyfriend, brother and I stayed here over Fourth of July weekend and had an amazing time! Noelle and Stuyvie left us beer in the refrigerator, coffee and cream and everything else we needed to enjoy the weekend. My brother slept on the aerobed which fit perfectly inside the "closet" -- it turns out the space was big enough to be an extra little bedroom. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay! Hope to be back again sometime!

  • We visited Santa Cruz to attend UCSC's graduation and this place was the perfect fit. The unit was very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced (especially in comparison to the hotels in the area). We didn't spend a ton of time at the studio, since we were running around with family most of the time, but it was the perfect spot to come back to at the end of the evening. The surrounding neighborhood is full of great restaurants and cafes, and the location makes it really easy to get to anywhere in downtown Santa Cruz. We also briefly used the wi-fi and didn't have any trouble with it.

We met with Stuyvie when we checked-in and he had great recommendations for restaurants and getting us squared away with parking, etc. I'd definitely stay here again, if we're ever in the Santa Cruz area.

  • Noelle and Stuyvie are the perfect hosts! We went to Santa Cruz for mountain biking, and for that purpose the cabin is perfect. With several bicycle shops just around the corner, a garden hose in the private backyard and situated close to the main road going out of Santa Cruz. We found everything in the little cabin to be perfect and they even provided us with all the small things like soap, toilet paper and vegetable oil. Also make sure to check out the awesome beer place Lúpulo that the couple are running downtown!

  • Noelle and Stuyvie were very responsive and made sure all our needs were met. The studio is perfectly located near great restaurants and all that SC has to offer. The space is clean, bright and sweetly furnished. You'll want for nothing here. It was a nice haven where we could enjoy a lovely weekend getaway. We will definitely consider staying here again when we need to escape to the beach!

  • We had a great stay in Santa Cruz. Studio was lovely, perfect for what we needed. Bathroom was great! Good water pressure and the shower head was not too low. I Took a bath one night and it was nice. My 15 year old choose to sleep on the airbed in the large closet, she liked it. There is a light in the closet so she could close the door and still read. Good location with restaurants in walking distance. Safeway close by. A more natural food store also close.

  • This is a great studio space off of Mission Street in Santa Cruz. The interior decor is warm, neat, and comfortable for two. We appreciated the fresh water in the refrigerator and bathroom amenities. Loved the proximity to Cafe Brasil! Would stay again.

We have lived in Santa Cruz for the last ten years and every day we feel fortunate to call this beautiful town our home. We still love to explore local hidden treasures and indulge in the region's bountiful outdoor activities. You can also find us scoping out new eateries and hangout spots. With deep connections to France and Mexico (Noëlle was the first person in her family born in the US and Stuyvie was born and raised in Mexico City), as well as numerous traveling adventures throughout the world, we feel a kinship with travelers and are excited to share what we know about the region with them. Noëlle is the Director of Education Programs at a non-profit that concentrates on local wetland conservation and Stuyvie teaches Sociology and Latin American/Latino Studies at UCSC. Passions include the outdoors, urban culture, international food, craft beer, small-batch bourbon, soccer, and playing music together.
