The cottage was adorable and stocked with everything necessary for a home away from home. The location was very close to downtown, down the street from the beach and Boardwalk, and walking distance from eateries and grocery stores. The cottage is very well kept and the property itself is very cute, a little garden and seating just outside the front door. The hosts are also very nice and give plenty of privacy. The only small thing that was missing was a microwave but the oven works great.
As I first walked on to the property, I knew this would be an amazing place to stay. From the perfect location - walking distance to everywhere, to the graciousness and charm of the hosts, I felt as if I were in a home away from home. The premises were clean, spacious and modern.
Thanks for the wonderful two-night stay. We've stayed here before and hope to come back again. This spot is so close to our favorite Santa Cruz restaurant, a Brazilian breakfast spot. Close to the beach, too!
Really can't top the location - about 1 mile from the boardwalk or the cliffs! Close to a lot of good restaurants.
We absolutely loved staying at Noelle and Stuyvie's beautiful studio and we highly recommend it to any Santa Cruz visitors! The studio itself is comfortable and well-appointed, and the garden right outside is a lovely spot to enjoy some sunshine. The location is perfect; it is in walking distance to some great restaurants, and an easy drive to local attractions. Noelle and Stuyvie were kind, gracious, and friendly hosts (and we highly recommend paying a visit to Lupulo, the craft beer house they own in Santa Cruz!). We loved our weekend stay at Casita Cruz!
About the Host, Noelle And Stuyvie
We have lived in Santa Cruz for the last ten years and every day we feel fortunate to call this beautiful town our home. We still love to explore local hidden treasures and indulge in the region's bountiful outdoor activities. You can also find us scoping out new eateries and hangout spots. With deep connections to France and Mexico (Noëlle was the first person in her family born in the US and Stuyvie was born and raised in Mexico City), as well as numerous traveling adventures throughout the world, we feel a kinship with travelers and are excited to share what we know about the region with them.
Noëlle is the Director of Education Programs at a non-profit that concentrates on local wetland conservation and Stuyvie teaches Sociology and Latin American/Latino Studies at UCSC. Passions include the outdoors, urban culture, international food, craft beer, small-batch bourbon, soccer, and playing music together.
