Bakuran DRT is a small private resort ideal for families looking to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. No rough roads, no tent pitching, and no hiking required! It's ideal if you're traveling with the elderly or babies. The resort and its cabins were thoughtfully designed so that our guests could enjoy the warm sunny days and cold peaceful nights. The space
Doña Remedios Trinidad (commonly called DRT) became the new popular destination of Bulakenyos and residents of nearby cities and provinces during the pandemic. It was once the least traveled municipality but is now famous for its breathtaking mountain views and marvelous rivers and falls.
Bakuran is an ideal choice if you want to visit DRT and bring your kids and parents along. There are no rough roads and no hiking required to get here. Others may think that all accommodations in DRT need tent pitching, some hut in a secluded area with no signal, or need a 4x4 to get there. Bakuran is unique in that it is a family-oriented resort. Even small cars can get you here. Perfect if you just want to experience DRT and simply need a comfortable place to unwind and get away from the noise and pollution of the city. The place feels remote, despite the fact that we are within a short walk (550m) from the town proper!
Bakuran is a great option for couples and families who want to bond and enjoy the beauty of nature but still prefer to have easy access to the town area, local restaurants, local cafes, and have a strong LTE connection (Hello, WFH and online classes!). Best of both worlds, isn’t it?
It is also the perfect little staycation place for you and your family in DRT. We offer three modern tiny homes with different sleek interiors which we fondly named after our kids: Balai Ate, Balai Kuya, and Balai Bunso. We have an outdoor swimming pool that will make you feel one with nature. Feel the fresh mountain breeze in your face and listen to the birds sing for you.

All 3 cabins are fully air-conditioned and has complete amenities. Each cabin has their own living area, coffee table, wash area, bathroom, and an assigned outdoor kitchen with utensils, stove, rice cooker, and refrigerator.
BALAI ATE
Balai Ate is a 21 sqm mezzanine-style tiny house with an A-frame roof design and has large glass doors and windows. Getting the view of the outdoors from the inside will make you think you are in the middle of the wood forest minus the wild animals!
BALAI KUYA
Balai Kuya is a 25 sqm cabin with a porch area. It’s like a modern bahay kubo inside with its sawali ceiling.
BALAI BUNSO
Balai Bunso is a 25 sqm modern tiny house-style cabin. The lovely brick walls will have you fantasizing about campfires and smores!
Aside from the cabins, what else is waiting for you inside Bakuran?
LANGUYAN (Swimming pool) - Our swimming pool can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. Pool depth ranges from 1ft to 5ft.
KUBONG KUGON (Dining pavilion) - An open hut design with dining tables. One of our common areas where you can meet other guests and enjoy chitchat during mealtimes.
KUBONG PAWID (Outdoor lounge area) - A cozy elevated lounging area for you to relax and feast your eyes on the beauty of Bakuran. Take a nap on our 5 seater couch!
TANAWAN (Tree viewing platform) - One of the first amenities we built in Bakuran. Instead of a treehouse, we build this platform to have an overlooking view of the mountains.
APUYAN (Fire pit) - Don’t forget to bring your marshmallow, chocolate, graham crackers. It’s smores time! Gather around the fire pit to warm up the cold nights in DRT with your family and friends!
MUNTING BATIS (Mini pond)
LUTUAN (Outdoor kitchen) - Each cabin is assigned with an outdoor kitchen complete with appliances and utensils. You may buy ingredients from the nearby market and cook them fresh here.
IHAWAN (Grilling area) - Grill your favorite meat and seafood in our Ihawan! Outdoors and barbecue? Perfect summer experience!
PIKNIK (Picnic tables) - We have three picnic tables available near the Languyan where you can eat under the sky.
BAKURAN CAFE - We offers breakfast meals and drinks.

Guest access
Guests get to enjoy the whole cabin to themselves and access to shared areas such as swimming pool, kitchen, and common areas.
You may bring cooked food (reheat using our microwave) or buy your fresh produce and meat in the nearby public market and cook it straight in our kitchen. We also have a grilling area available for your barbecues.
Electric kettle and water dispenser is available for sharing with other guests located in the dining hall.
Each cabin is allotted 1-2 parking spaces.
Other things to note
Because Bakuran is situated on a mountain and the land is not cemented, expect varying heights throughout the property. Please be mindful of your steps.
You will be with nature so you can expect some insects, ants, mosquitoes, and lizards in the property. You may bring your insect repellent lotion with you.
We are in a local neighborhood, so please expect some noise during the day, such as motorcycle muffler noises. Please accept our apologies if our neighbors begin to sing with microphones, as we are in a Karaoke country. 😅 You'll get a taste of what it's like to live like a local here.
Please conserve water as we are located in the mountains, where water supply is limited. The water from the faucet is not suitable for drinking purposes. We provide complimentary drinking water for your convenience.
The parking space is located on a lot across Bakuran. Please do not leave valuables in the car, even though it is gated. Keep the gates of the resort and parking lot closed at all times.
Apart from swimming and intimate bonding, we do not offer other exciting activities. But if some members of the family would like to visit the best spots in DRT and do some hiking, we recommend the following:
RFM Kampsite (Perfect view of the mountains) 5 mins away from Bakuran
Tila Pilon Hills (Perhaps the most famous tourist spot in DRT. It’s about 30-minute drive from Bakuran)
Blue Lagoon Waterfalls - 10-minute drive + hike
13 Falls - 40-minute drive + hike
Talon Pari Falls - 40-minute drive
