Interaction with Guests
I am always available by phone and have a caretaker to help in person.
The house is located in a quiet, secure residential area.
My house is two miles from public transportation. It is 90 miles from LAX and a 15 minute ride to SBA. Guests usually bring or rent a car which can be parked in the spacious driveway.
Other Things to Note
I think the best part of the house is the open feeling. The guests love the space that still gives the feeling of coziness. The house is fully equipped and guests need not bring anything but a desire to enjoy.
My goal is to have guests treat this house as their own. I present all the information in a complete welcome package. In addition, I have a friend who is available at all times to answer questions and will come by to check that all is well. If you choose to use the hot tub, I need to be informed. I also need to be told about any extra guests and discuss this with you. Otherwise, I wish you a good visit. And, of course, no smoking..
Nori was a great host and her home was a wonderful place to stay. Nori was extremely helpful and flexible, and very easy to work with. Thank you for your gracious hospitality!!
Nori's "Home away from Home" is beautiful. It is set in a gorgeous location with great views of the mountains from the back garden. The house is well furnished and has a comfortable, relaxed feel. Kitchen is well equipped and there are numerous areas, inside and out, to sit and kick back. We particularly appreciated the den (we could dispatch our kids there so we could enjoy the main lounge) and the hot tub was a fantastic treat. The caretaker, Dede, lives next door and is available to answer any questions. Thanks Nori for a very enjoyable stay. We had a great time.
Our friends and family had a wonderful stay at Nori's beautiful and spacious Montecito home last weekend. We enjoyed very much the hot tub, large kitchen and large living and dining areas. The home was very clean and everything was found to be in working order. We didn't have to use it, but Nori provided a thorough list of contacts if anything came up. We found the neighborhood very nice, a bit hard to walk around as the home is just off of a main state hwy, but the surroundings were very beautiful and so even driving through was enjoyable. The house is a short drive from various supermarkets and the main drag of Montecito. We made several trips to downtown Santa Barbara as well, drives were about ten to fifteen minutes. Overall, a very lovely stay-I would highly recommend.
Nori gave us a very warm welcome in her amazing home with a letter, orange juice, snacks and even a bottle of wine. This quiet place with 3 bedrooms up in the hills of Santa Barbara is spacious for a family. Very nice decoration, stunning living room and we loved to play the piano. There is even a hot tub in the yard! We enjoyed our stay for a week and would recommend it without hesitation to everybody looking for a really nice place in this lovely town.
We enjoyed our stay at Nori's beautiful home. We were coming to Santa Barbara for family time with our twin 1 year old boys and extended family. Nori provided wine for the adults and juice boxes and sand/beach toys for our boys. What a thoughtful touch! She was in contact with me before our travel time and provided some really great ideas on what I could do with the family. The home is as pictured. When we arrived the first thing you notice is the scent of jasmine and citrus trees. She has a beautiful backyard that is gated and safe for children to explore. It was great to get the kids in bed and relax in the hottub to the sounds of frogs. Equally as nice was morning coffee in the courtyard with our boys. The home had everything we could need. Nori's friend Dede who lives in a cottage on the property welcomed us and filled us in on the house and neighborhood- she was very friendly and helpful and made herself scarce until it was time for us to leave - we didn't even notice she was there. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
We had a very, relaxing stay (6 weeks) at Nori's home in a quiet upper Montecito neighborhood. The house was larger than the two of us needed but that came in handy when we had visitors - and the entire house has high beamed ceilings which add to the feeling of spaciousness. The "great room" living/dining area is fantastic. Only a few minutes from the upper village of Montecito where there are a few good restaurants and even a small grocery store for essentials if you don't feel like driving down to town. We were allowed to store our bikes in the garage and our dog Otis loved the back yard. We would definitely rent this place again.
The host was wonderful. Always available to answer any questions. Had many towels available in the house as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Left us a bottle of wine with some snacks. House was perfect size for our family
