Casa Tres Vistas is uniquely positioned on Gringo Hill to view the jungle to the South, sunsets to the West and ocean and town to the North. Sayulita's main plaza and beach are only a five minute walk away, however the location remains quiet and tranquil. The house has two large bedrooms with ensuites, one with a king sized bed and the other has a queen and built in couch that can double for a child's bed. There is a full kitchen, living room and dining areas. Wireless internet and satelite television provide some of the comforts and convenience of home. The expansive deck boasts spectacular views, pool, waterfall feature, Weber gas BBQ, dining and lounge areas. The rooftop palapa has amazing views and is the perfect spot to lounge on hammocks, practice yoga or siesta in the al fresco bedroom.
Casa tres vistas was such a great place to call home for a few days. Very conveniently located and had every amenity that you could think of. We especially enjoyed the outdoor living areas.
This place was the best. I could not imagine a better location. A quick five-minute walk to town, restaurants and the beach. Christina was a great host and was at Tres Vistas to greet us when we arrived. The house was clean and had a lot of room to cook, read or relax by the pool. The views were fantastic and the sunsets were unreal. We had a great time and definitely plan on returning.
Casa Tres Vistas was a perfect location for our 5 adults and baby. We could easily access the beach by foot or golf cart, which was a lot of fun to drive through town. The pool was well maintained. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the A/C kept them cool at night. The upper deck worked well as a third bedroom for our nanny, a place to do yoga in the morning, and relax in the hammocks in the evening. The kitchen had all the tools we needed.
The one thing that was hard to adjust to was the roosters. Their screams start well before sunrise (all over Sayulita apparently) and sound less like "cock-a-doodle-do" and more like a startled elderly woman. Several roosters live at the ranch right across the street from the front door. This noise was only noticeable in the front master bedroom and upstairs bedroom. Bring some earplugs and it wont be a problem.
Chris was a fantastic host. She was there when we arrived to show us around the house, set our baby up with a pack-and-play and infant life-jacket. Overall it was a very family friendly place to stay. She also pointed out two coolers that are available for guest use.
Even though we cooked breakfast almost every morning, we probably bought too much food at the Mega on the way in. Sayulita has so many great food options in-town and on the beach that we ended up with a lot of left-overs. There are also plenty of markets in town with fresh produce, beer, liquor and stock pantry items. We had expectations of grilling on the pool-patio, but only did that once as most days were spent on the beach and we always went out for dinner.
Be a the house for the hour leading up to sunset. The view is unreal, the lighting is perfect for pictures and the patio stones retain the solar heat from the day well after the sun goes down. As Sayulita gears up for the evening, Casa Tres Vistas provides a quite place to relax, have a margarita and freshen up before dinner.
Well, this house is as amazing as the pictures look. Actually, it's more amazing. This was our second time staying here and it was lovely. We just spent four days relaxing, going in the pool everyday, making margaritas and basically having the best vacation ever, and I blame this house. Chris is super welcoming and made us feel very comfortable in the house. Basically, we just kept jumping in the pool, staring at the ocean and reading in hammocks while exclaiming, "I can't believe this is our lives!" So, if you want an amazing escape, this is the place.
Casa Tres Vistas is perfect! We had such a good time at this house and would turn around and rent it again today if we could. Christina and her staff are wonderful. As the description notes, the house is at the top of a steep hill (not hyberbole), so it's something to consider when renting with small children or older adults if you don't plan to rent a car or cart. The adults didn't mind the walk at all but the kids weren't thrilled to go up and down multiple times a day -- which was OK for them since the house and pool is such a wonderful place to hang out. The plaza is just down the hill, about a 5 minute walk. Thanks Chris, Angel, and Sophia!
Christina was an excellent host. She was extremely attentive and responsive to all of our questions/needs. Her place is very spacious with great indoor/outdoor flow. Exactly as advertised. We were there in January and it wasn't too hot at all. The rooms were a little stuffy at first, but we just turned on the ceiling fans and AC for a bit at night all was fine.
The place is very kid friendly as well (our group of six included two very active 3 year old boys) which was a huge plus. The parents didn't have to say "don't touch that" every five minutes which made our stay relaxing...
After driving up the steep cobblestone to Gringo Hill we thought we may be a little too far from the action, but there is a staircase 100 yards from the house which provides a shortcut (although steep) into town. You can walk everywhere in Sayulita from her house. The only times we drove our rental car was to do day trips to other beaches/cities. Huge plus.
This home was a spacious dream. The pictures don't really do it justice as there are so many lovely details and special areas. I loved the location, being slightly away from all the noise but close enough to walk. We did rent a golf cart though and it was a ton of fun.
Chris and the staff are all very friendly and readily available if you need anything, but also give you your space.
The best part was the beds! So comfortable and I slept like a rock every night. There are some chickens and dogs nearby but the air conditioners drown out any extra noise at night.
The views are absolutely spectacular and the perfect location for a margarita at sunset.
We had 140 people we knew in town for a wedding so I got the chance to see many other homes, and ours was my favorite by far. It's just a lovely lovely spot!
