Hi- this is a laid back house. The people were very nice. I wasn't around a whole lot, it was perfect for what I needed; a place to organize myself as I get ready for my next move. Maria seems very nice, I only spoke to her on the phone, and met her mother one (website hidden) was all good, thanks Maria!
Great room and house at a great price. I was originally only going to stay there for a couple of weeks and ended up staying for four months. Maria was very accommodating and responsive to requests.
Maria's place is great. I was originally staying for a month in the Garden View Room and decided to extended my stay for another 2 months until December in a room upstairs that is a little larger.
My stay in the Garden View Room was great. If you're looking for a short term apartment type stay then these rooms are perfect. The other guests come and go but all have been respectful and quiet I hardly know they're here other than passing them in the kitchen. The location is also great only 15 mins from Santa Rosa and the house is in a good neighborhood. And Maria is also very prompt about addressing concerns of yours and fixing appliances in the house shes an excellent host.
Staying at Maria's house was a very enjoyable experience. The room was comfortable and private. There was fast wi-fi and a nice big bed. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, but is nearby many great restaurants and stores. I would definitely stay here again. If I were to give one critique, it would be that the cleaning fee is excessive and/or unnecessary. It would be better to simply add the fee to the per night cost of the room, or to refund the cleaning fee to those that leave the room in excellent condition.
Clean, quiet room with access to kitchen, laundry, and wifi. Abundant parking. Bathroom needed some cleaning, but was otherwise fine. Great roommates. Pretty close to Oliver's, a wonderful grocery store.
Maria was very prompt about responding and made my two-week stay very easy. Would stay again.
I stayed here for 10 days and it was great! The neighborhood is quiet, in fact, quite peaceful compared to the city. There are plenty of options for quick food and a supermarket within walking distance (it's a bit challenging without a car, but there is public transportation very close by as well)
There is a full kitchen, free wifi and laundry. Maria was great throughout and I highly recommend staying here, very nice place and a great bargain. Housemates were nice as well.
I have stayed at Maria's Rohnert Park property several times. The location is great for where I need to be in Petaluma, and I can get to Sonoma/Wine Country easily on my days off for some R&R.
I shared the house with 2 other tenants, both professionals, who were respectful and everyone kept to themselves. However, I felt very comfortable to sit in the kitchen or the living room and hang out.
If there is a room available, I will book with Maria again the next time I am in town.
Maria was very prompt to respond to my reservation request, and to subsequent emails asking questions. However, I didn't have too many questions, because Maria was very thorough in her explanation of what to expect, how to reach her, and she gave me a tour of the house.
It was a great location for me, because I was working in Petaluma during my stay. The drive was 10-15 minutes. The house is close Rohnert Park grocery shopping (Safeway), and I noticed a 24 Hour Fitness was being built nearby.
Once inside the house, Maria pointed me to my room. It was a spacious room on the 1st floor. The linens we clean, and Maria even provided bathroom towels for me to use while there. I had full use of the kitchen and washer and dryer. The room I rented had a shared restroom, but I was the only renter at the time.
Maria made space available in her refrigerator and kitchen cabinets, as well as use of her dishes.
The room was a little cold at night, so I did buy a space heater from Walmart to run at night.
Maria's hospitality, the location, and easy access from the freeway of her house are definite plusses. The house is big and does have a backyard. I didn't go in the backyard as it was in need of a little bit of lawn mowing and was cold out. If I stay here again in the warmer weather, I'll be sure to take advantage of spending time in the backyard.
Located on very peaceful quiet neighborhood. The owner of the house is Maria's mom, and she is soooo sweet and very fun to talk to! She is also a wonderful cook! I did not get to visit but there are lots of winery around the area, so I will have a rental car for my next visit.
