The space

The Cozy Bedroom3 w/ mini fridge is a large room available for short or long term rental in Sonoma County. About one hour drive to San Francisco and closer drive to Sonoma Coast, the Redwoods and all the beautiful areas that Sonoma County offers. Corner house is very conveniently located and is walking distance to shopping, schools, transportation, restaurants, dry cleaner, Post Office, and gym. Approximately, 2 miles to Sonoma State University, 30 minutes to Santa Rosa Junior College Ranger Academy and 15 minutes to SRJC. Walk to Oliver's Market and downtown Cotati with its shops, restaurants, and clubs.


Fully Furnished. Hardwood floor, fireplace, 2 refrigerators, washer, dryer, internet, cable, clean and quite. Dine with full view of large backyard with apple, pear, plum, peach and cherry trees and rose bushes. Kitchen privileges. Kitchen cabinets contain pots, pans, plates, utensils for individual or group use. Lockable bedroom is furnished with clean queen/full bed, fresh comforter, pillows, desk, chest drawer, etc. Weekly communal areas cleaned.

Please note that the kitchen is a shared space and that people who are cooking and needing the kitchen table and counter to prepare, cook and eat their meal have first priority to be in the kitchen. Since there are several guests and one kitchen, I expect everyone to cooperate in order to have a pleasant stay.

Please do not hang out at the kitchen during these time slots: 7am to 10am during breakfast hours, 11am to 2pm lunch time during lunch time and 4pm to 9pm during dinner time. During these time slots please do not stay in the kitchen to work on your computer or hang out unless you are preparing or eating your meal even if no one else is at the kitchen.

In addition, people who do not have their own mini fridge have first priority use of the kitchen and downstairs fridges. If you have a private room with a mini fridge please limit your use of the kitchen and downstairs fridges.

However, the Congdon house does not have a laundry facility at this time. A guest will not access other areas of the house such as garage, roof, driveway, etc. except during emergency evacuations. Your rental does not include storage of your personal items. Owner and property manager may revoke use of any space or area if a guest does not adhere to house rules. Any damage that you incur on or unto property will be your personal liability. We are not responsible for stolen or damaged personal items. You are responsible to pay for lodging, rent or damages of additional guest(s) with whom you share a private room or bed space. Only street parking is available.

Staying here was a great experience. The other airbnb residents were very welcoming and friendly. I felt right at home. I made the reservation on relatively short notice, and Maria was able to accommodate me. Maria is very friendly and kind; and the room was very comfortable! I would definitely stay here again!

My room (room 3) was decently sized for having a large bed in it. I brought a decent car-full of belongings, but there was enough room for all of it so I was able to settle in quite quickly. The room can be a bit stuffy, but a fan and a heater are both provided to help with that. The ability to use the kitchen and utensils was very nice! I was able to mingle with a few of the other AirBnB tenants there, and actually made some good friends! Maria was helpful in keeping me informed about my check-in details and in addressing my concerns. For example, when my ceiling light stopped working and looked like it was in the process of falling out, Maria immediately had her handyman come in and fix it within the week. She also had him bring a piece of wood to use to block the window from opening when I left the room (for extra security).

Maria was never on the premises so I never saw or interacted with her. The neighborhood where the house is located was ok, however the house wasn't as expected, for the same amount I could have stayed at a budget hotel nearby.

I have hosted for airbnb for over 4 years and I have encountered all sorts of people. One thing that I have realized is that everyone views each experience from his/her own prism. One guest may view a room and the house fantastically, yet another guest may claim that his/her experience was beyond redemption. As I have always noted, a guest has a chance within 24 hours to cancel. Also, a guest should communicate with me about his/her issues so that I may try to resolve them. Noted, I do not have a daily maid service, but I have a helper who comes in weekly. In between cleanings are the responsibility of each guest. One of my rules is that you clean up after yourself. If your roommate's cleanliness is not to your standard, then please remind him/her of the rules. It helps tremendously to read the rules, because they will save you and me heartache and grief.

I have always dreamt of having such a website available to feature our houses. I am delighted that such a format exists!!

I enjoy traveling and meeting new friends. I am hoping to take a break and travel the U.S. on Amtrak as soon as I get a break. Perhaps visit a few friends on the airbnb website.
