We'll be happy to have you living in a room in our lovely apartment in the heart of wonderful Copenhagen!
THE AREA OF NYHAVN
We're offering a room in our cosy apartment located in the lovely Nyhavn, just a few hundred meters from The Queen's palace. Here you'll find yourself in the center of the city with all it's beauty and charm. You'll be living with a view to the waterfront of both the canal and the harbour with all the traditional wooden ships and it's bright and colorful 17th and 18th century houses and their charming restaurants and cafés. From your front door you'll have the city's main attractions within a 5-15 minutes walking distance (see the bottom of the page). And even though the location is as central as it gets, it's still as peaceful, safe and romantic as you could dream of while spending your vacation in this lovely city.
The room is actually two joint rooms: one with a sofa, a dining table and a tv; the other with a desk for working or studying, a stereo and a single bed (if 1 person) or double bed - 120 cm x 190 cm (if 2 persons). Both these rooms give you a view straight to the canal and the colorful houses. There will also be clean sheets and towels for you to use.
We'll be staying in the other bedroom. Both rooms, the kitchen and bathroom has doors to the hallway.
We will share the kitchen, where you can cook and enjoy your meal either at the dining table in the kitchen, on the balcony, down in the yard, or privately on the dining table in your room. The kitchen has a sink, refrigerator, freezer, oven, stove, washing machine, iron and board. There is also a sunny south facing balcony (1,5m x 3m) towards the yard. You can take a warm or cold shower in the bathroom that is also shared with us in the apartment.
For entertainment, there is at your room, wireless high-speed internet, a dvd-player with 100+ movies, cable TV and books in Danish and English containing hundreds of novels and non-fiction books on ex. business and psychology.
The apartment is located in 5 minutes walking distance to the metro station of Kongens Nytorv and a busstop for the central city busses which can take you both in and out the city in a few minutes - ex. Tivoli, Rådhuspladsen in 5 minutes (bus) or the airport in 14 minutes (metro). During your stay you can also try the popular local way of transport by using the free public bikes, just down the street. We can also recommend you to enjoy the guided tour boats which will bring you around the city canals or try our boat busses for alternative transportation. Both these boats take off in Nyhavn.
FOOD & DRINKS
Down the street alongside Nyhavn you'll find a wide variety of cafés, restaurants, bars and culture. For groceries there are several supermarkets close by open from 8-24.
We are a young and happy couple speaking English, Portuguese and Danish. We love art, music and travelling, which is why this area fits us perfectly. Please don't ever hesitate to contact us if you need any extra info. If you stay longer than 7 days we'll be happy to offer you a discount.

August and Aline are wonderful and beautiful people. Enjoyed my stay, perfect location in a great city.
We had a great stay in August and Aline's apartment, it's very clean and cosy and the location is perfect to explore Copenhagen. We didn't get to meet August, but his partner Aline was a very warm and generous hostess, such a delight! We'd definitely recommend staying here.
When I arrived, August even went downstairs to help me with my luggage. He immediately made me feel at home and put always my needs before his, had maps for me to go around and even made me tea! August & Aline were my first hosts, and it couldn't have been more perfect, they are what makes Airbnb an amazing way of traveling. They were respectful, open, caring and warm in this cold city. Also, it was wonderful to wake up in the morning and see the canal! It's a beautiful part of the city. They leave you almost half of the apartment, so you can move around as you please, and they'll do their best not to get in your way, even though it's their home! The place is really nice, you can feel August & Aline's passion for music and books, and you get to experience living like a local in a whole new level. I'll surely get in touch next time I come to Copenhagen, looking forward to seeing August playing with his band!
L'appartement est superbement bien placé; exactement comme le montre la photo. Aline est très sympathique, très attentionnée (nous avons juste aperçu August car il travaillait).
I had a great time visiting Copenhagen and staying in August & Aline's apartment. It really is a great and beautiful location, and August was very helpful in giving me some ideas of how best to spend my short visit. I would definitely recommend staying here!
August and Aline are AMAZING people!!! They are super friendly, very accommodating, and respecting of your privacy! The apartment is in a fantastic location - very, very central. It's a 5-10 minute walk to almost any attraction in Copenhagen. The apartment is also very comfortable. You basically have over half of the apartment to yourself! It has a very nice kitchen and a very comfortable bathroom (which is not a given in Copenhagen!!!). Since they live there themselves it feels very homy and well organized. I would definitely stay with them again!!!!
August & Aline truly have the BEST place in Copenhagen. Very clean, spacious and comfy. Simply the best location, specially if it's your first time in this Beautiful city, their unique apartment is on the most photographed street in Denmark: Nyhavn.
At walking distance to all major attractions and in a super cozy and beautiful flat. From your window you'll see one of the most famous canals where you can actually take the boat tours. You are only a few steps from a place where you can rent a bike which is the best way to explore this wonderful city.
August & Aline are incredibly kind, friendly and nice. They make you feel home from the moment you get there.
It was a short stay but I learnt a lot from the Danish life and culture because they were so kind of sharing...
I'll definitely come back to Copenhagen and to their place with no doubt.
August was without exaggeration an incredible host.Even though he was very busy with his job during my short stay at his flat, he did whatever he could to show me around the city and as well recommended me some other spots that were not to be missed. The location of the flat is very central, vibrant and beautiful.....the pictures are not deceiving, it really does look like how it is shown here.
What amazed me about August was just how open and generous he was. He did whatever he could to make me feel at home, and make my stay worthwhile , even though as i mention it was a very busy time for him, and for that i am truly thankful for.He even took me around on his day off, which happened to be the day that i was leaving also and showed me all the spots that i had not had the time to visit by myself and even added more.He is open to talk about anything and just so friendly. If you are ever in Copenhagen do not hesitate to book with him, and see that you too will have nothing but compliments about August and his flat.Thank you again August for hosting and looking forward to booking with you whenever i am back.
