If you're looking for a nice, affordable, easily accessible place in San Francisco, look no further than Maria and the places she has to offer. This particular room is a wonderful size for one person and has clean floors, nice furniture (including a wardrobe), a mini-fridge and its own private bathroom! There are 4 large windows that provide ample light during the day. The house itself includes a nice kitchen with burners, an oven and a large refrigerator, as well as ample cabinet space. It is just a few blocks from an oriental market, two major bus lines and is very close to Glen Park BART station. Nearby restaurants are within walking distance and still more are open for delivery. Overall this room is a wonderful choice, and I myself was extremely satisfied during my entire stay. Maria is a wonderful host who takes care of problems swiftly and makes sure the house is clean every day. The very few conflicts I had during my stay were with roommates and not with Maria! Book this room and you will surely be satisfied.
The house is in a great location in the MIssion neighbourhood where it is only a 10-minute walk to the BART station and 2-minute walk to the nearest bus-stop. You pretty much get whatever you would need along Mission street. Maria was very helpful throughout my stay and she helped me with a couple of stuff to get me started. She was also very kind to invite her guests to dinner parties during Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Very clean and cozy. My room felt like coming "home" after a busy day.
The house is on a corner and the traffic noise can be annoying but I sleep with ear plugs and it was no problem.
BART was a short walk but I found the buses confusuing. Not Maria's fault. Her father helped me out of a jam one day - much appreciated. A list of recommended local businesses would have been helpful but I'm sure Maria could have told me had our paths crossed more.
WiFi was appreciated.
Clean and neat bathroom. All in all, a very pleasant stay and great value for money but next time I think I'll rent a car. It would have cost far less than all the cabs I ended up using!
Thanks, Maria, for a very plaseant stay.
Best value stay at Maria's! My husband and I stayed two weeks. Parking was no trouble at all. Maria is a great hostess. Property is close to transportation and food.
Maria is a really nice host, I feel totally comfortable talking to her :)
The room is big and tidy, well-facilitated with fridge, lamp, and closet e.t.c..which everyone would prob feel satisfied with it. There's even an electric heating blanket on the bed!:)
However, somehow the electricity did not go so well. Light sometimes went out but that only lasted for few mins, which was actually not a big deal :)
Thanks Maria! I really enjoy my staying !! :D
Maria was very accommodating for my stay. Her place would best be described as a hostel and you meet many interesting people from different places around the world. Her house is very close to the highway which was great to me because I get anywhere with ease. There were some logistical problems that we encountered, but she was very gracious and upgraded my room because of it which I was please with. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wanted an affordable stay in the city.
This is a great place to stay! The room with private bath was very nice and cozy. Maria has been a terrific host throughout my stay. This room in particular was a great value and the shower was great, plenty of hot water when needed. There was very little noise and it's very private. I highly recommend staying at either this property in any room in general or any property of Maria's. This was a great find!
I thought this room with the fridge and bathroom was brilliant value for money. Close to the BART and only $3.50 for a return to Mission or Downtown, I doubt you can find anything this convenient and comfortable for anything close to the price.
The room was peaceful, just some distant traffic, no loud street noise. It's quite light in the mornings as these are not black out curtains, but if you need to be up early or have a blindfold you'll be fine.
Maria was a great hostess, she runs her rooms very professionally - the bed was made was made beautifully with freshly laundered sheets and towels, it really feels like staying in a hotel. She works hard to connect her guests if they have common interests, so it can be a good place to meet people as well. An excellent place to stay, thanks Maria!
I needed somewhere to crash whilst looking for a permanent location. This fit splendidly for a short stay to settle down and make further arrangements.
Enjoyed my stay at Maria's. Affordable, basic but comfortable room and Maria was on hand if needed. I would stay again if visiting SF.
