Come for a cozy stay with the family in rural Onalaska. It's peaceful on the farm, and we love to have guests. We are about halfway between Mount Rainier and Mt St Helens. There's plenty of hiking, swimming, restaurants and museums within a 20-30 minute drive.
Please note: In the winter, I may ask you to perform certain tasks in order to make your stay more comfortable, and keep the bunkhouse in optimal conditions. Read further for more details.
The space
This is a kitted out Old Hickory Shed with a loft, a porch, and double doors that open to the great outdoors. There's a queen bed in the main space and a queen size futon in the loft. The bathroom features a shower with an on-demand, propane water heater.
Guest access
Guests have their own parking space, private room in the Bunkhouse, and are welcome to walk the property.
The main house and other outbuildings are off limits, for safety and privacy reasons.
Other things to note
Noise Notice: We have two guardian dogs who protect the farm animals. They live outside, just a short distance from the cabin. Sometimes they bark at night at coyotes, racoons, neighbor dogs and other predators. We recommend bringing ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
Winter Notice: During the winter season, I may ask you to perform certain tasks in order to make your stay more comfortable, and keep the bunkhouse in optimal conditions. These tasks are simple, and may include running the faucet on a slow trickle at night , or placing the heater at a certain setting when you check out to prevent freezing pipes. I will message you with details as they pertain to your stay.

Neighborhood highlights
We live out in the country. It's quiet here. We are about 7 minutes from the town of Onalaska, 25 minutes from Chehalis, and 20 minutes from Morton. That's about how far all the restaurants and grocery stores are too. We are about half way between Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helen's. There's plenty of hiking trails within a reasonable distance. We are also about 15 minutes from Mayfield Lake, where there are trails, swimming, boating, and more.
