Even I did not meet Susan, she was a great and helpful host. Everything was perfectly prepared form the arrival (little welcoming snack) till my departure. The apartment is small, clean and I had everything I needed. Close to public transport and close to the city centre. Susan has a big choice with helpful guides for sight-seen. I would love to stay here again.
A great little place right near Hyde street. The apartment was clean and comfy, and close to the cable cars making it easy to get around.
Susan was a great host, made it easy to get into the apartment when I arrived and even had some cold beers waiting.
My fiance and I recently spent a fabulous week in Susan's apartment. The apartment is really well located, with a cable car stop right beside it. This makes it really easy to get all over the city and give the legs a break from the hills!
Susan's apartment was spotlessly clean with a really comfortable bed and powerful shower. It has lovely character as well - we really felt connected with the real San Francisco!
Susan left a lovely welcoming gift of beer, chips and chocolate which was very thoughtful.
As noted by other reviewers, there is some noise coming from outside (primarily from the cable cars and rubbish collection). This wasn't a problem at all at night but did wake us early. But, to be honest, this wasn't a problem for us because we really wanted to get up and going and make the most of the day!
Forget about trying to get street parking. We used the parking garage on Washington Street and it worked out well.
To anyone planning a trip to San Francisco, I am jealous! You will love the city and will leave hoping you had more time left!
Susan’s place is very sunny, like she said, and pleasant.
It’s very well located, 2 steps from the cable car and many buses lines, and close to the essentials spots of San Francisco.
Susan’s provides a lot of informations about the city (maps, guides, .. ) and good advices about places to eat (don’t miss Bob’s Donuts !).
One weekness is the bathroom that’s a little small and a bit olddated.
Susan should more advise to go see the real panoramic view from the outside straits of the building…
Although we did not meet Susan, she was a lovely host. There were beers and snacks for our arrival and the arrangement for accessing the apartment was very smooth. All queries were answered quickly both leading up to our arrival and during our stay. The apartment was really lovely, very clean and comfortable and also well located. Public transport was on the door step and local eateries within walking distance. Tourist information was available which was a great help. If I return, I would love to stay here again.
My first time using Airbnb and it was a pleasant experience! My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for a couple nights while we were in town for the Nike Women's Marathon. Susan's studio is located close to Union Square, enough that we were able to walk there at 5am for our half marathon! She left beers and snacks for us, fresh towels and mini toiletries in case we forgot to bring our own. First time using a claw foot tub and it was interesting, water pressure was great and the hot showers felt good after being out all day (and running 13 miles on Sunday!). The only gripe I could think of was the noise from outside - even with the windows closed, you could hear the cars and people talking. But this could be because we were trying to sleep at 9pm on a Saturday night since we had a race at 630am the next day. I would assume the norm would not even be in the studio and instead out and about in SF! Pretty much this studio has everything you need (except a tv), to live comfortably. I'm not sure how cold it gets in the winter but I noticed there wasn't a heater?
This is a very cute apartment/studio. I stay with my husband for four night and we really enjoy the place.
Susan has a very good taste, and her welcoming was the best! We definitely recommend it :-)
This was centrally located and perfect. The host had some great recommendations on places to see and eat, and she was easily reachable when we had any questions.
We spent 9 days at Susan's. The location was ideal, quiet yet central, close to amenities and very well serviced by transit. The apartment is very bright and cheerful, a good size for 1 - 2 people. Susan was very accommodating with our early check in. All in all a very pleasant stay.
Susan's apartment was the perfect location for us to explore SF. With cable cars and buses going right in front and nice cafes and restaurants in walking distance, it is also perfect for travellers without a car. Even without meeting Susan in person, she was a great host and provided everything we needed, even a cold and much appreciated welcome IPA! We definitely would stay there again or recommend it to friends. Thanks again!
