Our property sits on a hillside overlooking a lush green valley and the beautiful Pacific ocean below. It is very private and secure with a gated entrance and is still less than a 10 minute walk to town.
This beautiful large1 room efficiency is located over the open patio below, allowing it to catch refreshing ocean breezes and give you some of the most amazing sunsets ever!! It is very spacious and comfortable with a queen size bed, sofa, chairs and it's own bathroom and kitchenette. You also have your own private balcony, where you can relax and watch the boats move in and out of the harbor. For those rare days when the breezes and ceiling fan aren't enough just kick back and turn on the air conditioning, or go downstairs with your favorite tropical drink and cool off in our refreshing pool, or just doze off in the hammock.
When you do pull yourself away from our wonderful location, it's only a 10 minuet walk to downtown Quepos. There you will find restaurants, gift shops, clothing stores, pharmacy's, live music and more. You will also find taxi's and buses readily available. You can also visit our local farmers market on Friday and Saturday, where you can purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods and more. They set up right along the ocean's edge, only a 5 minute walk from our property .
We have many beautiful beaches in the area, including our world famous Manuel Antonio National Park. There are many other activities here such as, white water rafting, sunset cruises, surfing, horseback riding on the beach, world famous sport fishing and much more. We will be glad to help arrange your tours in sunny Costa Rica!!! We can also arrange transportation to and from San Jose for you.

We just can't say enough good things about our stay at el rancho casa pargo. Marta and Douglas were just the perfect hosts. They went above and beyond our expectations to make sure our stay was as pleasant as possible. Marta booked tours, drove us into town when she was going (every day) :) She purchased tickets for us, picked us up on our arrival and even bought us milk and bread one day. Xoxoxo We absolutely fell in love with Saul our pool boy/handiman and wanted to adopt him and take him home with us. Be advised that the monkeys like to visit daily at 6:15 am but after the novelty wore off, I was glad I brought ear plugs. They are very bold, helping themselves to our fruit tray and anything else that we left out!!! Douglas climbed on the roof fearlessly one day to retrieve laundry left out to dry... I'll never forget the smile on his face as he handed us our unmentionables... Priceless!!! The other clients that were there during our stay have become friends and we have exchanged emails. You will want to spend more than a night or two here so keep that in mind when booking. The steep climb to the casa is offset by the stellar views. I must have a gazillion sunset pictures and no two are alike. The beach, only a .65 bus ride at Manuel Antonio, is world class, a must when visiting Costa Rica We felt safe and cared for with Marta and her family and when we come back to Quepos, we will feel like we are coming home. Thank you for making our trip to Costa Rica most memorable! We will return! Heather and Lynne
An excellent place to stay and Marta was fantastic. View was great and pool was very relaxing. Marta was very helpful with local information and how to get around. We hope to come back.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay with the friendly and helpful couple Douglas and Marta! We got a nice and clean apartment up on a hill with balcony and a gorgeous view overlooking the sea. The view could also be enjoyed from the cooling swimming pool, and the hang out area surrounding it was a great meeting point for all the guests for just socializing and sharing experiences. The best was however the closeness to the wildlife and the group of monkeys that crossed the property almost every morning, running on our balcony and doing pranks. Definitely the best wake ups in costa rica and overall a really great experience!
Muy buena relacion precio. Estupendas vistas, piscina muy agradable, limpio. Recomendable
The view was incredible from El Rancho. My Mother and I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset over the ocean. We also enjoyed having our coffee and watching the plethora of birds in the morning. We were even greeted by some monkeys one morning. The studio was well equipped. The only thing I would add is a toaster. I would highly recommend El Rancho.
We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed our room. The view was fantastic and very romantic. Marta made us feel at home and even ironed our outfits for New Year's Eve. So sweet!! We loved it there!!
Marta was really awesome! Our airline had lost one of our suitcases and it was supposed to be delivered for us to Quepos. I gave Marta's phone number for the airline and asked Marta to tell me when and from where I can collect the suitcase. It was delivered 2AM to Quepos town and she had driven to town so that we wouldn't need to wake up!
The views were really nice and the pool area as well. The room was simple but still really nice. Air condition worked, but the building is so light structured that the cool air just escapes. However it was cool enough for us to sleep!
Overall, the experience was very good!
Marta and Douglass were amazing and accommodating.
It first started when I was walking up the hill to their place and Douglas was on his way home from work, spotted me and threw my luggage in his truck and gave me a quick ride up to their property. Marta was so hospitable, always calling me cabs, serving me ice cold beer and changing money into CR Colones.
They're great people and have really built a cool property for AirBnB'rs
Marta and Douglas are the best airbnb hosts we've encountered. They really go above and beyond to help you. The place was gorgeous! It had the perfect view of the ocean and monkeys would come visit in the morning and afternoon. There's nothing bad I can say about this place.
Erik and I enjoyed staying at Marta and Douglas's apartment in Quepos. They were very helpful, kind and friendly. Their home was a great place to start our adventure in Costa Rica. :)
