Manola's place is a charming walk up right at the heart of Rome. Florentina checked us in, answering all our questions so check in was a breeze. The apartment is clean, efficient and housed all four of us comfortably. It is situated closest at the Barberini Piazza, it is about a five minute walk from the Spanish Steps. The shopping district can be easily reached by a leisurely walk as well as the Trevi Fountain and other places of interest. There are endless dining options ranging from low to high end. The metro station is right at the Barberini Piazza as well. All in all, it was a great experience. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely clean apartment in a perfect location to walk everywhere in Rome. We loved the apartment and would definitely stay again. We had our baby with us and there was a high chair and cot all set up. We ate in each night so our daughter could go to bed in the bedroom each night and then we would get takeaway. One tip: the restaurant closest to the door is amazing. Get the truffle lasagne. They will do a takeaway if you ask nicely!

Manola's place is very conveniently located in central Rome near Barberini. Her apartment is literally a 5 minute walk from the metro which worked out great for us. There are several very nice restaurants in the vicinity and both the Trevi and Spanish steps are within walking distance of the apartment. She had an air conditioner inside the apartment that allowed us to close the windows at night and we could not hear any street noise at all. She had two big drying racks that allowed us to dry our clothes inside the apartment and by the time we got back in the evening the clothes were bone dry. But make sure that you wash at nights because most machines take three hours to wash and most apartments do not have dryers.

great location and many tourist spots nearby and in walking distance, in old rome you need on foot or by metro, not recommend by bus, always wait for long time. everything is great for the appartment, historic style and we all love it. its the best appartment during the whole location.although not have chance to meet Monala, the housekeeper opened the door for us,she is helpful and quick respond to the questions we have, cheers

The place is great! We felt at home the moment we stepped in. It was raining when we checked in and the housekeeper immediately offered us umbrellas to use for when we go out to see the sights! The entire apartment is clean and the water is hot when you need it. The kitchen is well-equipped with gas stove and oven, pots and pans, bread toaster, and a microwave oven. It also has what I believe to be an espresso machine but we were not so sure since we prefer tea over coffee. The apartment also has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Manola had been so kind as to supply detergent for both. There is no dryer to go with the washing machine but the apartment does come with a drying rack and this works wonders! It did not take long to dry our clothes. The queen mattress was not even from years of wear: my side was a bit lower than the wife’s. No, not because I am heavier because when we switched places it was still lower. This may be attributed to years of wear. But after a tiring day of seeing Rome’s lovely sights, I did not mind the bed being the way it was! Much has been said in previous reviews about the elevator and they are true. It is small and only two can fit at a time! To get to the elevator, you need to climb no more than 15 steps. So if you have knee problems or in a wheelchair, this may prove to be a challenge. I had a bit of a problem with the air conditioning system. Even with the windows already open, the temperature inside the apartment was getting too warm for me and I could not turn the A/C on. I do not know if I misunderstood her instructions but I could not for the life of me figure out the A/C control, which by the way was in Italian of course. Thankfully, the apartment came with an electric fan so that was a big help. During our entire stay, we had the A/C turned off and the fan on. I could be wrong but I think the apartment’s A/C only has heater functions. There are several restaurants within five minutes’ walk. There is even one right next door to the apartment entrance below, although we did not try that one out. If you decide to cook, Manola has posted on her kitchen board directions to the supermarket that has cheaper prices than the corner grocery store’s. Would my family and I stay here again if and when we go back to Rome? YES, definitely!
