Austrian style comfort near City Center. Parquet floors; spacious and bright; new bathroom. A few minutes walk to the center and 'the rive' with all the comforts: residential neighborhood.
Carbnonella, our cat, and my wife and I host you in Austrian style comfort. Parquet floors; spacious and bright; new bathroom. A few minutes walk to the center and 'the rive' with all the comforts: residential neighborhood; buses just around the corner; free internet, matrimonial bed; super quiet room!. There is just one bathroom down the hallway from the room, to share with us. The kitchen is not available for use but you can leave a few things in the refrigerator. And yes, there is our lovely cat, queen of the house, so no pets- sorry.
Parking is easy and free...often spaces just in front of the house!
Take breakfast in our cozy kitchen. We serve vegetarian; vegan is no problem!
We can also outfit the 'sala' with a matrimonial and single bed if you are 3 persons..or in special cases we can offer two rooms!
The apartment is not far away from the railway station (20-30 minutes walk) or 5-10 minutes by bus. Trieste is a nice option if you want to make a stop overnight on your way to Slovenia or Croatia.
There is a cozy park a few blocks away with basketball, 'calcetto' and benches amidst the greenery. Five minutes away is a nice pedestrian zone with the historic cinema Ariston, bars and a pizzeria with a panoramic view of the bay. A supermarket is just up the street.
Like to swim? Besides the sea being a quick bus ride or walk away there is an Olympic indoor/outdoor swimming pool 10 minutes away!
Parlo bene Italiano- benissimo English!
Internet. Washing machine. Hair dryer.
Very quite and residential neighborhood but just minutes away form the city center. There is a small pedestrian zone around the corner with a great view of the bay and several bars, a movie house and a pizzeria.
In front of the house is the number 15 bus which leaves you a few blocks from the station. Down the hill you can catch the number 8 bus which takes you directly to there. Also the number 9 is there which takes you to the other side of the city....to the public gardens, for example.
Other Things to Note
The bathroom is not in the room and is shared with us.
No smoking - period. The kitchen is not available for use. You are welcome to the smoke on the balcony. :) We are vegetarians. :)
Io e il mio ragazzo siamo stati a Trieste un paio di giorni. La casa di Gary è molto bella ed accogliente. La posizione è comodissima per visitare la città ed è stato molto facile trovare parcheggio nei pressi. Vivamente consigliato.
Garry and his wife were lovely and helpful! Carbonella (the cat) was just cute and extraordinary. The apartment is very nice, clean and its really quiet. Everything was perfect except the weather conditions. It was bora (strong winds), so it was very cold outside and in the buidlings as well. The heating systems in Italy are not the same as in Austria, so be prepared for that. But Garry tried his best with the pellets oven in their corridor. I totally recommend the place and would love to spend some more time someday.
perfect weather. perfect town. perfect flat. perfect room. perfect breakfast. perfect fat cat.
are Gary and Eleonora perfect? we don't now, but they are very nice.
Sehr sympatische Unterkunft! Beste Lage - aufmerksam, gepflegt und gemütlich. Jederzeit wieder !
Bellissima esperienza. Da consigliare senza il minimo dubbio.
Gary and Elanora were fantastic hosts. They offered a complete, delicious breakfast each morning, the bed in our room was very comfortable, the room extremely quiet/peaceful, and their vocal cat was really friendly - we had lots of fun with her. I also went to Gary's yoga studio and he taught a great lesson, which was so relaxing to do while overseas. We had no problems staying with them and connected well as they were very friendly and made an effort to get to know us. It was also easy to share the bathroom. Again, the room was very quiet in a noisy city and we felt very refreshed staying here.
Gary was a helpful and unobtrusive host, who made us feel at home right away. The room was clean and quiet, in a residential part of town about 10 minutes walk from the main hubbub of the city. The gorgeous cat Carbonella was very chatty and welcoming, always a pleasure to come back to! Breakfast was delicious and the flat itself is beautiful, a lovely bathroom and a great view of the city from the kitchen balcony and our bedroom window. Our stay was excellent value and we very much enjoyed it.
