About This Listing
Typical Paris building built in 1800. The original wooden floor in Herringbone pattern and moldings have been kept, as well as the marble fireplace and mirror. The kitchen floor is in white marble as well.
The apartment is located on a vibrant pedestrian street full of restaurants, bars, and fashion stores. In the heart of Paris (1st/2nd arrondissement). The location is very safe and central. You will love the area if you are outgoing and want to enjoy Paris by night. The street is can get very busy and loud during the summer, mostly on Friday and Saturday nights. I would not recommend this place to someone looking for a peaceful and quiet neighbourhood. The apartment is located above a bar which is open 5 days a week until 2AM and occasionally throws parties. It is however very quiet during the day.
The apartment is equipped with:
-A king sized sofa bed
-High Speed wireless internet access
-Flat screen TV with cable
-full bathroom with shower
Walking distance (10 min or less) from:
-Place des Victoires
-Palais Royal and its garden
-Maison Martin Margiela
-Killiwatch (biggest vintage shop in Paris)
Have a look at my guidebook for my favorites spots in the area.
Please treat the apartment as if it was yours.
Respect the neighbours, do not play music too loud or too late.
Be careful not to lock yourself out or loose the keys.
I do not ask for a security deposit, but I expect you to tell me if something breaks in the apartment during your stay.
If you have any questions or doubts, please do not hesitate to call me.
We were met by Thomas' housekeeper to get keys and the info, but thorough out the booking and the stay, Thomas was in contact with us ensuring everything was ok, as well as some tips about Paris!
The apartment was comfortable for two, kitchen availability was useful too. Laundry machine available but we didn't end up using. Sofa-bed was more comfortable than expected. Plenty of hot water, no issues with bathroom.
Don't be alarmed at the initial stairwell entrance, historical building.
The little touches and home decor of the building added to the feel of our Paris experience during the stay.
The location and neighbour was great and we walked or took the Metro for everything. Many stores nearby including supermarket, bakery, and restaurants. Felt safe in this area.
The one place on the street downstairs was super loud late into the night, every night (except Thursday and Friday) while we were there, loud music and people. Although all windows closed. May be seasonal experience for their live music or such.
Overall enjoyed our stay at Thomas' place for our Paris experience! Thanks for hosting us!
Thomas was an excellent host, very attemptive, making us feel very comfortable. The place is not huge but it was enough for us and close to a lot of amenities, you could easily walk to anywhere as it's very well located. I would definitely suggest the place and of course I would definitely stay there again in the future.
