House built in 2006 gives you a fresh and modern place to stay in an historic town. Please contact me if you'd like the whole house and I will send you a special offer-
I have a two bedroom, one bath home downtown Charleston within walking distance of the city center and Hampton Park. My home was built in 2006 so you will be staying in a relatively new home downtown, which is quite unique. I have a spare bedroom with a queen memory foam bed, fireplace and a piano- room is regular sized. My home has a washer and dryer and all of the modern and regular amenities you would expect (no microwave). Kitchen, bath, living room- etc..
Plenty of street parking and I also have bikes. I can rent just a room or the entire house.
Everything is provided.
Charleston is an amazing city!
Rent the extra room for whatever the calender price is--add another 100 for the whole house per night.
Renting the entire house allows for 4 people to stay comfortably. Please contact me if you'd like the entire house and I will send a special offer.
If just renting a room- guests have access to everything except my personal bedroom. If they rent the whole house they have access to everything.
There is a porch which leads to the front door and is easily accessable.
Interaction with Guests
If you are renting just the room I may be around, but very little. If you rent the entire house obviously you won't see me at all. I do like meeting people so if you are interested in meeting up for a beer or going for a sail I certainly won't hesitate.
The neighborhood is a mix of young professionals, family's that have been here for decades and medical university students. It is primarily residential with a few great restaurants nearby.
Leons Oyster Bar
Moe's Crosstwon Pub
The Recovery Room
Butcher and Bee
All right around the corner
Also a climbing gym a block away as well as Hampton park.
The Citadel-all a ten minute walk.
The bars, restaurants and shops of King Street are a 10 minute walk to the beginning.
Yes there is public transit and I am two blocks from a main bus line, though I prefer walking or bikes (which I provide)
Other Things to Note
Please be advised that the guest bedroom has a memory foam mattress.
Cleanliness and consideration!
My best friend and I rented out Bryan's place for a girl's getaway weekend in Charleston, and we couldn't have been happier! The house is quite charming, painted pale blue with winding vines and flowers along the porch. The rooms were very spacious, modern, clean, and his decor is tasteful and quirky to boot. The bed was roomy and comfortable (and built by Bryan's own hands?!) Location-wise, it was perfect for us, as it was a quick walk to nearby restaurants (Hominy Grill, Leon's Oysters, Xiao Bao, etc. and ALL DELICIOUS) and a 15-20 min walk to downtown Charleston. Bryan was incredibly accommodating and helpful; before we even got there he had sent over about 50 recommendations for things to do, see, and eat. (All of them on point). He was a gracious host who gave us great instructions on how to identify the house, access/gain entry to porch/front door, checked in with us after we got there, and popped by to say a quick hello. The weather wasn't cooperating with us for the weekend, so we actually stayed indoors quite a bit, and we thoroughly enjoyed Bryan's place as a home base in between our six meals a day (in our defense, there is a lot of good food in Charleston!). Everything was super comfortable and convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful girls getaway weekend filled with food and relaxation -- and Bryan's place was fantastic! My highest of recommendations!
This is a great rental. Very high quality place, quiet and comfortable. Bryan was very welcoming (virtually) and made my rental experience a pleasant experience. The location is perfect for me and it's in an up & coming part of Charleston. Bryan - I'll definitely be back! Thank you!
Bryan was great at emailing information ahead of time and was extremely hospitable. We had few needs, but I have no doubt he would have jumped in to help.
We thought we had left an item behind and he was right on top of it offering to help find it. The house was very comfortable. The mattress took a night to get used to, but we slept pretty well.
As we were planning our short stay of 2 days in Charleston, I checked out Airbnb for a convenient place to stay. This house immediately caught our attention...the location to downtown great, the accomodations clean and inviting and any and all inquiries to Bryan answered right away. We were very pleased with the whole experience. Bryan was available to answer a couple of questions while we were there but he stayed elsewhere so we had total privacy. We parked right outside the door which was very convenient and the neighbourhood was quiet.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Bryan's home for two nights. Bryan was very friendly and kept in touch leading up to and during our stay. His home felt as comfortable as our own and was just as advertised. We were able to walk or take a quick Uber to places we wished to see. Perfect experience!
This is a must place to stay if you visit charleston. Bryan was an incredible host as far as communication prior and during our stay. Peaceful neighborhood with easy parking on the street. The room is right next to the street so if you are resting during the day or sleep light at night you may hear people or cars on the road. YOU ARE DOING YOURSELF AN INJUSTICE IF YOU DO NOT USE BRYANS PLACE.
Definitely recommend Bryan's place. Our room was very comfortable, and the house was comfortable and spotless. We didn't meet Bryan; he was away during our visit, but he was very responsive and helpful by email during our stay. The location is great - just a couple blocks off King St. and a pretty easy walk to restaurants and bars. The neighborhood is diverse and seems typical of the area for many blocks in every direction - a range of houses from the newly remodeled and beautifully maintained to the rather shabby. It's Charleston!
