The Space

My Lake House is a comfortable, colourful eclectic home on the banks of a small lake with a bird sanctuary on the doorstep!

Minutes from the Sunshine Coast's surf beaches, plaza, restaurants and cafes and surrounded by wildlife for photography, bicycle tracks for riding, walking paths to stroll along...

The Lake House
The house has four double bedrooms of which I rent out three on Airbnb. It has a sunny water outlook from a sitting room that has a TV, DVD player and surround sound. Relax on the comfy couches and relive your day's adventures... The kitchen explains itself with easily found cutlery, plates and equipment. Altogether a very basic home with everything necessary provided (except a microwave as i do not believe they are good for health).
I also have wireless internet in the house, you can easily park on the road and I am happy to provide breakfast by arrangement :)

The India Room features original water colours of Indian markets, a double bed, built-in wardrobe, table for two, fan and is located on the cool side of the house. Travelling with friends? Please see my other listings below for booking more than one room.
The bed in this room is Sealy/Golden Siesta queen size....matress protector and as new linen...

Surrounds
Staying here, you are just five minutes from Alexander Headlands, Maroochydore, Cotton Tree and Mooloolaba beach destinations...on a bus route servicing the area. Within walking distance of shops that include a hairdressers and chinese take aways. The Lake House is only a half hour car journey to the Glass House Mountains, Australia Zoo and Noosa for surfing or beach resort viewing...

See you soon at the Lake House!

  • Georgi is a very helpful, friendly, accomodating host. Her home backs onto a lake and the gardens/grounds are beautiful. Her home is tastefully decorated, immacuately clean and inviting. My stay with Georgi was very tranquil and healing. I would highly recommend this homestay.

  • Don't hesitate in staying with Georgi if you are heading up to the Sunshine Coast. Her property backs onto a beautiful water catchment area and there's so many birds to look at, it really is an oasis. I've been staying here while I look for a rental as I'm relocating from Brisbane due to getting a job at the Sunshine Coast and it's been such a huge relief at the end of a day to walk in and feel like I'm coming home. Georgi is really chilled out and so easy to talk to and get along with, I've loved every minute of my stay here. I would recommend to anyone debating about staying here to book it, you won't be disappointed. A+

  • Georgina was very welcoming and tuned into my needs. She is an interesting and sociable person who also respected my needs for some quiet time.

The bed in the India Room is very comfortable and I appreciated the ceiling fan over the bed as I visited during a heat wave!
If you love gardens, birds and water dragons, then this is a good place to enjoy all three. There is a large population of various water birds on the lake and island, and if you are lucky you will see willy wagtails cavorting in Georgina's artistic bird bath. You have to be quick to see the water dragons not far from the Lake House, as they scamper away at the first sight of a human.

I also enjoyed the trip to Mooloolaba for a tasty Thai meal and a swim in the evening ocean.

I enjoyed my stay and would recommend The Lake House and Georgina for a comfortable and friendly home away from home.

  • Lake house is just what it says - a lovely lake setting, very relaxing with birds, ducks and other other wildlife. This view coupled with Georgina's lovely cottage garden and her friendly nature made us feel very at home - we will visit again in the future. She also gave me cuttings from her grape vine so lets hope for a bumper season next year!

  • I had a amazing time. I was made to feel very welcome and Georgia was a very kind and generous host. Her house is in a amazing location, one that is far enough away from the hussle and bussle, but close enough to aceess everything that you may need. Really enjoyed my walks around the lake, and just sitting admiring the views. Will definitely be back. Thank you Georgia for a wonderful and relaxing visit.
