We had a nice stay in Naples. The room was as described and Anna had been kind to us. The very central location of the apartment makes it a great place to stay and enjoy the nearby museums and restaurants
This is a beautiful apartment in a very central area. If you have never been to Naples before (as my boyfriend and I hadn't) you should brush up on its city a bit before renting. It is easy to get lost in the web of tiny streets with constantly changing names and vespas coming from all angles.
Naples city center is basically a valley between the peninsula and vesuvius. When you're in the middle you lose sense of direction very easily, so have a good map or get to high ground to determine location.
Anna's apartment was really beautiful and within a day or so we were able to get around quite well with a little help from our gps. The only issue we had while staying at Anna's was the showers. Both are pretty small (the upstairs is smaller)and one had inconsistent hot water while the other filled up around your feet.
Other than this slight inconvenience we really loved the room, Wi-Fi was weak but in the living room/kitchen it was great. The bed was comfortable and you could sleep late as the room got very dark.
Anna is a very friendly and easy-going host! Her description of how to reach the apartment was very detailed and thus we found it easily.
The apartment is spacious, big livingroom and large kitchen, although it was pretty cold inside when we were there (februari).
The room itself is also big but a bit on the dark side. It has a small balcony. There is airconditioning so you can heat or cool the room just as you like it. The bed is big and very comfortable! The room was nice and clean. The bathroom is shared but we had no problems with it ever being occupied.
There are three rooms in total which Anna rents out, and it can be pretty noisy. The walls are not that thick. Also you can hear quite a bit of noise from the streets, but that's what you get when you're in the city center. Didn't really bother us.
The location is actually the main attraction for this apartment: right in de middle of old town (Spaccanapoli). Beautiful old wooden doors, which are open during the day and closed at night (you access through a cute, very small, door inside the main doors), give access to a courtyard in which you will find the old stairs to the apartment. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Pretty much everything is at walking distance! The neighbourhood has lots of very small, very crowded, and not always very well lit streets and you need to watch your belongings because it's easy to get robbed. We've travelled quite a bit so we were fine but be aware.
The kitchen is a little under-equipped but we didn't use it anyway because it's so easy and cheap to eat in one of the many restaurants nearby. The breakfast is very basic, but so is the price so we had no problems with it.
Officially we had to check out at 11:00h but our flight didn't leave until 20:00h. There were no other visitors for the room that day so Anna let us use it for the rest of the day, which was very nice! This way we didn't need to take our bags with us for the entire day.
Anna's family owns a wine bar nearby, where you can drop in if you have any questions. This makes communication really easy!
Thanks to Anna and her apartment we had a great time in Napels!

About the Host, Anna
I am 30 years old girl, I love travelling.
Explore, explore, explore
Do not let the fear take the place of curiosity, the desire to live. Explore to discover, to reach unknown lands, to talk with passers-by, those who remain in your life only a month and then, however, do not go more
Explore to try to really get involved. To err.
To dive from too high and fall.
And then find the right spot where to launch, where to launch does not mean precipitate but learn to fly.
Explore to feel alone in a crowd, to feel incredibly full of love scattered into thin air, away from everything and everyone.
Make love, make the revolution, scream, laugh, run away and come back.
Explore to understand that everything that you thought maybe it is wrong to make you amazed by the many facets of the world around us.
Explore and believe.
Believe that there is still something to be done, still a place to see, one more person to know.
One more story to hear, still a path to walk, still a dream to be realized.
Explore, because we need a generation that keep believing.
We need dreams, energies, to know the differences to break the wall of indifference silent.
