This is a private apartment and not just a room. It has a kitchen, full bath, living room/dining area, 1 bedroom, A/C, TV, WiFi and a shared swimming pool. There is a queen size bed and we add a single bed at additional cost for the third guest.

The space

Casita means little house in Spanish, La Casita is a 2 story house with a kitchen, sitting area, full bath and a outside balcony with jungle views on the first floor. The upper floor has the bedroom, 2nd bath and outside balcony with great ocean views.

If La Casita isn't available for your specific dates, please view our other 4 apartments that are spread out on the property. Follow these 3 steps, click on our picture, on the new page click on our picture again, now look on the lower left side of the new page to see them.

Our property is very private and secure, with a gated entrance. It sits on a hillside overlooking a lush green valley, with unbelievable sunset views over the ocean and marina. It is less than a 10 minute walk to central Quepos where you can find everything you need, food markets, restaurants, gift shops, clothing, taxi's, buses and more. You can visit our local farmers market every Friday and Saturday where you can buy fresh fruits, vegetables, home baked goods or a cold fresh coconut to drink. Quepos has it's own hospital and airport with numerous daily commuter flights.

You can jump into the pool to cool off, swing in a hammock under the large covered patio, or play a game of cards while you watch the boats go into and out of the harbor, or watch the monkey's play on one of their frequent visits.

The beautiful Manuel Antonio National Park and it's world famous beaches are only a short taxi or bus ride away.

My husband and I live on the property and are always available to help make your vacation a memorable one.

If you would like, we can provide private transportation to and from San Jose and help arrange all of your tours to help make your Costa Rica Vacation unforgettable.

This place is absolutely amazing. We actually went on a zip line tour where the tour bus picked us up and our fellow zip-liners were quite envious of where we were staying. It has a beautiful view, pool, bar, A/C, and monkeys everywhere. The hosts were great and gave us a tour book to review for tours in the area when we arrived. This was the best place we stayed in Costa Rica. We stayed in the La Casita apartment and it has a loft feel with two balconies ! Love, love, love this place.

Great place to stay! At the top of the hill, with a bit difficult road to get there, but really worth it. Incredible view to the Marina, and really close to it even if you wanted to walk there, the Marina has nice restaurants and bars. The room was just as expected, very clean and comfy, you can even watch the monkeys in the morning passing the nearby trees.

Marta and Douglas were very sweet and accommodating! La Casita had a pretty sweet view of the marina in the morning, and no need for an alarm when you've got monkeys to greet you! Definitely would stay here again when I come back to Manuel Antonio.

The view from this place is simply stunning! It overlooks the Marina and is beautiful even in the rain. I saw two kinds of monkeys right from the balcony! I tried three of the restaurants at the Marina and they were all great! Wish I could have stayed longer!

La Casita was perfect for our trip to Quepos. My partner and I found the apartment to be very comfortable. It was private and the air conditioning was much appreciated! We loved coming back from a day at the beach to relax at the bar by the pool. The apartment is close to restaurants and the marina. Everything was exactly as we expected and we would recommend staying with Marta and Douglas to all of our friends!

This is my first airbnb, got to say it was awesome everything that they say is on point the view is great you can see the marina you can wine dine in the marina, or you walk downtown is a short 15 mins down hill, i drove from san jose at least 3 hour drive but you also can get a bus from airport next time ill catch a bus, and if you want to go Manuel Antonio catch bus so easy here in quepos everything is literally walking distance but for people who can't take a walk up hill suggest take a taxi up. Love this place will do it again. Peacefull

We finished our visit to Costa Rica in Quepos/Manuel Antonio and La Casita was a perfect place to call home for a few days. The bed was comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The air conditioning was a nice perk, after going without it for most of our trip. Finding their driveway on top of the hill was a little tricky for our driver, but I'm sure it would've been much easier if we hadn't arrived when it was dark outside. The location is way up on top of a hill, with great views, and there's a shortcut to walk straight down the hill to head into town easily. We didn't get to meet Marta or Douglas, but Marta's daughter was very nice and accommodating when we arrived. Thank you!

Marta And Douglas User ProfileMarta And Douglas is a superhost.

Marta
I have a very outgoing personality and love to dance, cook and laugh. I enjoy meeting and helping people. I love to travel throughout my country and other countries as well. My husband Douglas and I have been married for 25 years and have two daughters, Bianca 23 and Sandy 18. Both girls attend the university in San Jose. Both Douglas and I were born and raised in Quepos and we think that with all of the lovely areas in Costa Rica, that the Quepos/Manuel Antonio are is the most beautiful.

Douglas
I like to dance and cook as well. Although I am not as outgoing as my wife, I do enjoy meeting other people. I have worked for the national electric company "ICE for 27 years as a maintenance supervisor. I like to travel and enjoy seeing other areas of our beautiful country. We slowly built on our property over the years and enjoy sharing it with others. Now with the pool and rancho completed I think we are finally finished.
