The Space

We have a lovely new studio apartment available for rent in beautiful Carpinteria. Complete with kitchen, living area and a deluxe custom made queen size murphy bed with an amazing mattress that folds into the wall, this private space is perfect for a single occupant or a couple.

Located on the property of a family-owned avocado and coffee farm and perched atop a quiet hilltop, this charming studio has its own private patio that will afford you full ocean and mountain views.

Carpinteria and the surrounding area is renowned for its terrific (and safe) surfing, biking and hiking. There are also some fantastic restaurants. To read a recent New York Times article on Carpinteria -

  • The place was very nice and exactly as pictured. Great location - nestled away yet still close to some shops and restaurants. Host was excellent and willing to answer any and all questions. Even supplied eggs and fresh orange juice for the morning.

  • Perry was an amazing and gracious host! My boyfriend and I spent NYE weekend in her guesthouse and it was perfect! The view was incredible, the space was immaculate and Perry was extremely welcoming/accommodating. We felt extremely comfortable and lucky to ring in 2014 here - Perry even provided fresh orange juice from her farm & coffee for us! The house is also extremely close to downtown Carp. where we were able to shop, get groceries and have a delicious and quiet dinner in town. I would return in a heartbeat!

  • We enjoyed our stay at Perry's farmhouse. The views were amazing and we found ourselves lingering longer than expected each day sitting outside enjoying them before we got going.

  • The perfect getaway from busy Los Angeles.
We had a fantastic stay and used the relaxed atmosphere to recharge our batteries.
The cottage is a unique place with an incredible view across Carpinteria to the Pacific.
Very quiet, very private and isolated but not too far away from the city and only a short trip to Santa Barbara.
Perry was very hospitable and accommodating - she even provided us with fresh bread, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice and snacks.
We would go back any time!

  • I had a wonderful stay at Perry's avocado farm. The farm's locale is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like you are in the countryside even though you are close to Carpinteria and the beach. The place was cozy and clean and Perry was communicative and friendly. Having breakfast while watching the sun rise over the Pacific is an unforgettable memory that I will treasure for a long time.

  • Perry's studio offers a beautiful location that is convenient to Santa Barbara. Downtown Carpinteria is a short ride away, yet it feels high up in the country. The views are wonderful from the chairs in the front and inside. It is very private. The studio is sparkling clean and has everything one needs for a perfect get away. She even provided us with fresh oj, coffee and bagels! Highly recommended.

  • Perry's place is incredible. It was the perfect homebase for a weekend cycling trip to the area. It is clean, unique, quiet and, true to the listing, set in an avocado farm with a spectacular view of the Pacific. The patio out front is a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine and soak up the atmosphere. Perry and her husband Ken were great hosts. Flexible and easily reachable to answer any questions. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Perry was a delightful host - the converted barn was gorgeous and offered not just comfort, but a glorious view of the ocean below. While your stay can be as private as you'd like (the barn is disconnected from the main house), I recommend you take Perry up on any offer to join her and husband Ken for an orange juice (freshly squeezed with fruit from their very own trees). You'll be glad you did.

If that's not enough to convince you to come and stay here there's also hummingbirds fluttering outside your room, one of the most beautiful beaches less than five minutes drive away and some of the best hikes (and waterfalls) in CA at your door.

We loved our stay here and can't wait to get back!
