Spend your well-earned vacation in a gorgeous, bijous, bright and newly refurbished studio apartment housed within the traditional London Town house, just moments away from the most famous market in the world! Its modern styling with a retro twist echoes the wonderful sights and sounds of the fabulous & funky Portobello market, which resides no more than 10 minutes away!
Having the tradtional "city-living" mezzanine floor, the main sleeping area with the main double bed can be found at the top of the stairs. Please do note: a mezzanine is a half-sized level, suitable only for sleeping or sitting. The apartment comes complete with washer/dryer, shower room and pull out, double sized sofa-bed, it can sleep up to four comfortably.
As this place belongs to my parents, who use it very seldom, it is indeed, almost as if it is a serviced apartment. Whilst there is every comfort of home, such as fresh towels, bed linen, a fully equipped kitchen, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board plus digital television, you won't need to dodge any half used ketchup bottles in the fridge, nor any dirty razors in the bathroom cabinet! This place is absolutely lovely and just waiting for guests.
Perfectly positioned, the tube from Notting Hill is a mere 13 minutes walk, Kensington Palace & Gardens is a short walk from there, (the other side of which is the one and only Harrods); the nearest tube station is only 7 minutes walk away and the fabulous tea rooms, cafés and restaurants of Westbourne Grove are only one street away!
So whether you wish to visit for work, holiday or for the upcoming festive season, drop me a line and you'll be lying in crisp white sheets, cup of tea in hand, enjoying your complimentary welcome hamper of beautiful British goodies watching "Notting Hill," (or any of the many classic British DVD's I own) faster that you can say "Mary Poppins"!
Check out is at 10am, and check in time runs from between 12 noon until 7pm; I can potentially be flexible about this provided I'm given enough time to make travel plans, just drop me a line to discuss. In which case, should any potential guests wishing to book have their travel itinerary handy at the time of enquiry, I'd be most grateful!
If I might also kindly stress to any potential guest that once you and i have arranged your booking, it is really quite essential that you let me know at least an approximate time by which you expect to arrive. It's also really very important that if you are running late, you do keep me informed; So please do ensure that you travel with a mobile phone from which you can call, text or e-mail me!
****Please also note guys, although wifi is indeed available, it is not free of charge.****
Any questions, please do ask, I'm always very happy to do my best to accomodate even the strangest of requests!

This is a lovely flat in a quaint neighborhood that is easily accessible to most of London. I would recommend for two friends or couples. Could get a bit tight with more than two people.
My friend and I enjoyed spending our evenings watching TV on the couch and retiring to the loft for sleep, which is very cozy and warm. While the loft is only for sitting/sleeping, it's not inconvenient and makes for a snug rest.
We were easily able to walk to Hyde Park and then on down to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and Westminster. There are some lovely pubs in the area, and multiple fresh Indian spots.
We spent 4 days now in February in Sophie's flat in Notting Hill.
It was perfect situated, near bus and tube. The flat is modern,
With flatscreen tv and everything you need. Clean and perfect for two. We hope to come back again!!!

Our stay at this apartment was very nice. It is a small place in a good area, close to tube, bus station and great restaurants, and a short walk to Hyde Park. Although we didn't meet Sophie we easily got the key from her friend and all correspondence with Sophie was great.
Our stay at Sophie's was very pleasant. The apartment is conveniently located. 5 to 10 minutes walking to royal oak tube station, very close to important bus stops and also walking distance to Portobello road.
The apartment is in good state and nicely decorated. We would definitely recommend Sophie.
Sophie was helpful and accommodating for our 1 night stay on New Years Eve. We had a great time and her studio was warm clean and cosy. She always replied to my emails and even let us check out later than usual as we were out celebrating New Year Eve. She was also very understanding when we were delayed getting to the flat on arrival. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
We enjoyed our stay at Sophie's Notting Hill mezzanine flat. It is in a great location. We did not get a chance to meet Sophie but everything went smoothly with checking in and out. The flat was clean and cozy. There were three of us staying in the flat and it was a little cramped. Would be ideal for two people. The mezzanine bedroom does have a low ceiling as others have mentioned. You can not stand up in the room. The bed was very comfortable and our daughter slept on the fold out sofa bed and that was also fine. There is no place to put your clothing as the closets and cupboards are full so you do need to live out of your suitcase. We were able to hang our coats in the closet. Also, it would be great if the flat had free Wi-Fi. Overall, I would recommend Sophie's flat. We enjoyed our stay!
We had a wonderful time at Sophie's! Lovely little flat, cozy and warm. It was great to have our own space to retreat to after long sightseeing and shopping days. There is a great street a short walk away which has all the restaurants you could want. We particularly recommend the burger place, Byron. :)
This flat was in a great location and was clean and tidy.
The only downside really was that there were 4 of us staying there and I would say it was far too small for that. Luckily we didn't spend much time in the flat and were only there for one night but I'm not sure I was aware that it only had one bed and a sofa bed when I booked it. I would say its big enough for a couple and that's all really. It also felt a bit like we were staying in someone's house. I know that's what you are doing a lot of the time when you go with air bnb but I've stayed in many, booked through this website, which were a lot more like holiday lets than home stays. This one had people's clothes in and even food in the fridge. It just depends what you want I guess.
That said, the hosts were generally quick to reply to emails and it was easy to arrange for someone to meet us to give us the key.
I had a decent stay at Sophie's apartment. The apartment is kept clean and tidy with everything in working order. It may be that my disappointment is that I didn't look at the listing and photos close enough. I felt a bit deceived but I can accept that's my fault for booking hastily.
I'd list this as Royal Oak or Bayswater (the two closest stations and not Notting Hill. I could not for the life of me figure out where the radiator controls were located so it was quite a cold two nights. Although it says you can access and pay additionally for the local wifi I was informed by Sophie's boyfriend that it doesn't work and would best try the pub around the corner or the starbucks a 5-10 min walk making responding to work emails a bit of a pain. The loft space is very low and the walls are quite thin. It's not too too loud but not the best for a light sleeper. On the plus the shower heat was great and consistent. Sophie was easy enough to contact when I arrived late with no phone and was considerate of my delay.
The Studio itself was really nice, the neighbourhood is awesome, really close to Royal Oak Underground Station and with proximity to many cafes and nice little shops around Notting Hill. Sophie made sure we got the key and everything we needed so no trouble at all. Only little malus is that the building the studio is in has very thin walls, the studio is right next to the entrance of the house so if you are disturbed easily by noise from neighbours passing or walking around in their flats this is an issue.
