About this listing
This holiday is for people who enjoy peace and quiet while having access to an uncrowded beach only 3 minutes walk away.
The volcanic island has mild weather all year round and dramatic scenery.
Giniginamar is one of the least touristy villages and the foreigners that are here are largely expats.
The house is located high up the hillside having its own garden and spacious terrace area with barbeque.
Having only one bedroom (with on-suite) it is ideal for couples. There is a bed sofa in the lounge so four could be accomodated short term.
There is a good restaurant in the village - Don Carlos and up to 2 other options for eating depending on the season but currently there are no shops at all. Luckily Gran Tarajal, the provincial town just a short drive away can cater for most needs, even here there are not many tourists.
For the energetic you can walk to Gran Tarajal over the cliffs with the reward of a fresh fish lunch.
The island is great for golf and watersports, especially windsurfing and hiking.
A car here though is pretty essential if you want to do any exploring, car hire is reasonably priced. Easy parking outside the house.
Internet dongle / modem supplied free against 30 € deposit. Works on a prepaid system and can be credited from 10€.

We liked the location so much we bought the house! Hope you will like it too.
We hope guests will treat the house in a respectful manner as they would expect guests in their own home to do.
We didn't have a chance to meet Helen but the place was great! It was a little hard to find and the shrubs on the front stairs could use some trimming to be able to access the entrance from below. There is however another way to access the entrance from the top and via a dirt road. The beach is nice and calm, but not very good for swimming. The nearest store is about 20 minutes drive away. There is a restaurant, I didn't try it but they seemed to have a nice selection. Everyone there was German and didn't seem to speak much English or Spanish. The kitchen of the place was fully-equipped and there was a great little table on the patio to have meals outdoors.
The Eagle Nest, as local people call Helen's property, offers you amazing view.
If you want to spend your holiday time in calm place enjoying sunrises every morning it's a very good choice.
You must know, there is no any shop and only one German restaurant, but Eli who is the cook makes that place worth visiting. We had really great steak and lamb.
The property has a gorgeous terrace and stony BBQ, it’s a really great asset of this cottage.
House is cozy but needs some renovations, especially the bathroom.
We spent two weeks there enjoying all that time, we drove around all Fuerta, it’s interesting and wild island.
What a fantastic place to get away from the bustle.
Not to mention the magnificent view from the big terrace.
It was really great, everything was right and we had
a wonderful time!
Whenever you come to Fuerteventura, this is the place to be.
Just one thing; make sure you have a car ;-)
