We have a fantastic stay in Paris and the Marais district. Florence was an exceptional host and gave us all of the local knowledge we needed to get around Paris. Florence was timely, friendly and a pleasure to talk with. The apartment is located in a very nice area of Paris with lots of restaurants, cafes etc. One block from the metro, and a bus one block away that between them goes most everywhere with no transfer required.
We walked to many nearby locations as well. The apartmnt is very nice, clean, large and perfect for a family of four. I would definitely stay there again.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay at this apartment. Very convenient location, the pictures represent the apartment rather well, and the host was nice. The reason why we gave this place 3 stars was because there was an issue with the hot water. The host told us to turn a switch should the hot water run out, which we did, but still no hot water.
I'm not sure if this was expressed anywhere in the listing but the bed upstairs is 2 twin beds pushed together, which slowly separate throughout the night which was annoying. The building was being renovated which caused for some mostly tolerable construction noise at times throughout the morning and early afternoons, but did ruin the aesthetics of the place on the way in.
I feel the final price after all of the fees and all was a tad bit high considering the flaws listed above.
Overall, we had a good stay. Wifi was fast and consistent throughout the flat. We were able to use all of the kitchen supplies which we took advantage of. Hope you find this honest review helpful.
If I could give this place 10-stars, I would. Read on for details if you must, but seriously book this place now! My husband and I (American, frequent travelers, early 30's, business professional) stayed in Ludovica's apartment for four days in late May. Response time and communication were excellent. We received an email in advance of our trip that included full details of the apartment and an extensive list of recommendations (grocery, pharmacy, cafes, restaurants, bakeries, cheese, meat, creperies, museums, monuments, historical walks, etc.) for the Bastille neighborhood, as well as the city at large. We referenced this list continuously and found her recommendations to be spot-on. Upon arrival, Florence greeted us at the apartment and graciously gave us the full run-down of the apartment, neighborhood, and even suggested a couple of additional places she thought we would enjoy. The apartment itself was WONDERFUL; top floor (elevator), bright and airy, clean, fully updated space with a large kitchen and very large bathroom (by FR standards), comfortable layout with the full bathroom and sleeping quarters on the spacious lofted level. Fans were provided that helped regulate the temp and drown out any street noise, of which I was surprised to find minimal. It’s just off a busy intersection, but on a surprisingly quiet corner. Situated between two major Metro stops with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, grocery, farmers market, etc. etc. all within a 1/2 mile radius of the apartment. We felt like true Parisians staying at Ludovica’s apartment. My husband wants to move-in permanently. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment!
We were visiting Paris for the first time and Ludovica's apartment was perfect! It is a very nice place, clean, full of light, looks just as beautiful as the pictures. The bathroom and tub is amazing. The location is great in that it felt like an authentic Paris neighborhood, plenty of young people around going to bars, amazing patisserie across the street but it is literally not even a block to the metro stop at Bastille. We loved how easy it was to use the Metro/RER from this location.
Florence was our host and first of all she gave plenty of information about the area and Paris. At one point the wifi went out and when we got her the message, the wifi was back up in less than 10 minutes and we didn't even have to be there.
The only thing with a vibrant neighborhood is you can hear the street below at night if you are a light sleeper. I turned on the fan that they have for some white noise and was able to go to sleep.
Truly I highly recommend this apartment and the hosts!
We had a fantastic stay at Ludovica's lovely apartment. We were met by her friend Florence who could not have been more helpful, giving us great tips on where to eat, what to do etc.The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and clean and is in a great position. I highly recommend it!
We went to Paris for Valentines Day weekend. Our stay was excellent! This was our first experience with AirBnB and it exceeded our expectations. We had a very fun and romantic stay here. Checking in and Checking out was prompt and easy. Our host provided a very detailed guide about the apartment and the local areas a week before our stay so we could study on recommended places to dine and visit.
This place has an excellent location. It was very clean, modern, and I thought the pictures were an accurate representation of the apartment. The apartment is near a lot of night life so there are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby in the evenings.
There are two metro stations very close by and this make for easy access to other main attractions in Paris.
If we return to Paris in the near future this would be the first place we try to rent!
Great City, Great Place, Great Neighborhood, Great Price.
We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at Ludovica's apartment in December.
The location is right in the heart of the action and the accommodation is exactly as described. It's spotlessly clean, the bed is really comfortable and the cot provided for our baby was great.
I understand some people found it a bit noisy but we didn't. The only issue was that the lift didn't work for 2 of the 3 nights, which was a little tough to manage with a stroller.
Florence takes her hosting role very seriously and was a pleasure to communicate with. She had some great recommendations for local eateries. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
We booked the apartment of Ludovica (who has an excellent email response time and manner) for a week-long stay for two adults and two teenaged daughters. The apartment is large, attractive, well-kept and has a useful kitchen. It is also nicely located, very close to the subway lines.
I was warned about the noise level by another review and decided to try it anyway. Let me put it this way: if you have a hard time sleeping through noise, it’s probably not the right place for you.
I think the key point of renting, though, is that when one has a problem (and no matter what the circumstances, there’s always a chance a problem may arise), one needs it dealt with quickly. Florence, who maintains the apartment while Ludovica is in Italy, took care of our (minor) problems quickly and professionally.
Thanks, Florence and Ludovica!
The apartment is great. It was very convenient to the metro (two lines!) and lots of food and shopping around there. The apartment was as advertised and was nice and clean. Florence was great in providing tips. The bed was very comfortable. The packet of information provided was insightful and helped me get around a lot! I would recommend this place to a fellow airbnber.
