Dubrovnik is a fantastic City and Ivo's apartment is in a quiet residential area not very far from some shops and the harbour.
The Old Town is a short bus ride away or a pleasant 20 minute walk.
Although Ivo himself couldn't meet us, his mother was on hand and she is a lovely lady. Ivo had organised a travel cot for our 5 month old daughter and a microwave which we could use sterilising bags in for her bottles. This was a lovely thought.
We hired a car from (website hidden) (Yes, strange spelling) which is about 200 metres from the apartment and cost us £60 for 2 days. We went to Mostar in Bosnia and Montenegro. Ivo's mum gave us a key to open a garage door for the car right outside the apartment, which was a great help.
The apartment has air-con which I think would be very handy especially one the temperature starts to rise in the summer. The kitchen facilities were really helpful, especially for preparing baby's bottles. We also ate in a few times and could prepare sandwiches for our sojourns into the old town. There is wifi so you can get online and check out all the places you can visit.
I'd thoroughly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a base to explore the city and wider area.
We stayed with our 7 months baby, and the apartment was perfect for us 3! Jelka was there to welcome us when we arrived late and was very friendly. The apartment is clean, spacious, in the nice area, has a good parking place, washing machine, and we had a very good baby cot, which was comfortable.

I was with my girlfriend two weeks ago in this studio. We spend only two nights at Dubrovnik and all i can say is that our host (Ivo's mother) welcomed us pretty well, she was always available for every thing that we asked for. Even she washed our towel which we forgot to pack. And we also forgot our camera (young and in love :)) in studio and she found it and remind us before we gone too far. We were more than satisfied with accommodation, its location and price. I believe that we will visit Dubrovnik again and enjoy in this beautiful town, and for accommodation there will be no doubts. :)
Fab for what we needed. Clean, tidy & central with everything you need for a short holiday! Jelka is lovely and helpful, nothing to fault.
Easy booking and communication with Ivo, before and during our stay of two nights. Unfortunately, we did not meet him personally, only his very friendly mother who doesn't speak any word in a foreign language. The appartement looks exactly as in the listing, it's very spacious, but with only one window to the shadowed side of the house. It was very clean. The view of the Dubrovnik Bridge and the harbor with the large cruise-ships is interesting. Restaurant Buono close to the apartment is not more than average, but in the same house is a very good Sushi-Restaurant.
I would say, Lapad is perfect to stay for visiting Dubrovnik. Certainly a recommendation.
Our stay in Dubrovnik and in Ivo's apartment was great! Ivo's mother explained and showed us everything. There were city maps in the apartment that we could use. The apartment is about 30 min. walk from the old town, quiet and in a nice neighborhood, restaurants and cafes can also be found just around the corner. We can recommend the small cozy apartment very much!
