Have yourself a pleasant stay in the Sevastopol. My apartment is within walking distance of the Sea and entertainment in Omega Bay. The unit is near the bus stop to the shopping center and super market. It takes around 25 min to get to the center of the city using public transportation.
Your accommodation includes a private room with a closing door, wireless Internet and HD TV in the living room at your disposal. Your welcoming hostess will be present in the apartment and will be happy to share her delicious and healthy home cooked meals!
A little something about Sevastopol:
Sevastopol is famous not only a large number of historical monuments, but also a great variety of beaches in the area. The city has many museums, clubs, cafés, and restaurants. Balaclava - a resort for walking enthusiasts, sailing, fishing, and diving.
Sevastopol is a unique place in that it has over 30 bays. The city is nestled under the three ridges of the Crimean Mountains. Sevastopol lies in the boundary of two geographical zones, temperate and subtropical. The climate is relatively mild. The marine and foothills are temperate continental. It is temperate continental with a mediterranean-type sub-tropical in the south-east coast.
Roman and his mother are good hosts - helpful, and accommodating. His mother (her name is Natasha, I think) is very kind and all-too-happy to share her apartment with her guests. Your personal space is respected. We arrived late in the evening after a long day's travelling and she gave us a delicious russian summer soup (I can't remember what it's called unfortunately), and home-made kompot. The apartment is nice, modern and with a good bathroom. The private bedroom is perfectly adequate. Roman met us (email hidden) in town to talk us through everything and was also happy to give advice on what to do and see and how to get around. All in all, I'd give 5 stars to his mother, who is a good hostess, and has a nice apartment. However, if you're wondering why this listing is so cheap, it's because the location is very far from the centre, and not terribly convenient for anything a tourist is likely to want to do. We fortunately had a taxi take us there. I think we would have struggled otherwise. If you don't speak any russian then be well prepared for a foray into the real Sevastopol. No tourist shots here. All in all, it's a great option if you're on a tight budget or get caught short (as I did) and just need a place to stay. Just bear in mind that the pricing is an accurate valuation of what's being offered.
I am nonetheless grateful to Roman for saving us from the streets that night. He responded very efficiently and the whole transaction was smooth and painless.
My one big criticism is this apartment's billing as "in the best area of Sevastopol", which is rather misleading. Although of course, the consolation prize is the experience of life in a real Ukrainian home.
This apartment is very light and comfortable.
It has two terraces facing the sea. I really enjoyed staying in this place.
Roman and Natalya are hospitable and helpful. They are glad to help you to organize your trip in Sevastopol. They know many remarkable places that are not mentioned in guidebooks. You can ask them about sights, restaurants, bars, routes, etc, they know everything in this city.
Роман посоветовал как лучше добраться до Севастополя, а также подсказал лучший план осмотра достопримечательностей следуя которому мы отлично провели уикенд. В следующий раз непременно остановимся у него.
