Lovely room with private bath, minutes from central Antigua.
Beautiful room with private bath in a historic home located in La Antigua, Guatemala steps away from the most important sights. Much of the house dates from 1720. The room has an armoire, a super comfortable Queen bed with duvet, wireless internet, and television. (local stations) The bathroom has a large shower with gas heated hot water. All rooms open onto the central patio, where you can sit in the sun, or enjoy the peaceful sounds of my large fountain.
My house is located around the corner from Parque San Sebastian and the ruins of the church by the same name which was orginally built in 1565. You can walk in about 7 minutes to the incredible market of Antigua, La Merced church, and the famous arch in central Antigua. Antigua is very compact and is best explored on foot. There is always an amazing ruin and fantastic colonial architecture around every corner.
I have a fully appointed kitchen which is there for your use during your stay.
Laundry Available for Q60 per load.
Cell-phone available for your stay for a deposit of Q120.
I speak, Spanish, English, French, and German.

I like to interact and talk with my guests, but sometimes people are busy sightseeing and tired, I respect that! But if you want to chat I am always here to answer any questions.
Antigua is best explored by foot.
Nadir was cool and met us upon arrival and even showed us around. The room is perfectly adequate and convenient and I would totally recommend it for a short stay.
Nadir is a super nice guy and very helpful. He told us where to go and gave us a map. The rooms are good for the price and everything is a nice walk or Tuk-Tuk ride from the house.
To get to Casa San Sebastian was a bit confusing, our cab driver got a bit lost, so make sure you have a map with clear directions before you get to Antigua. Because we got lost we got the our destination quite late and were worried it was too late to check in but luckily Nadir was waiting for us at the door upon our arrival. The place was cosy and clean and not too far from popular sight seeing spots.
Worked great for us during our quick visit to Antigua!
The house is great, a cute villa just out of the main centre of Antigua. The rooms face onto a lovely courtyard with a fountain where Emilio keeps his fish and Amore the cat tries to catch it.
Room 1 is a very decent sized double with large comfy bed and good sized bathroom. The shower is nice and hot... although you need to light the boiler first, which is a bit of an art. We slept very well here.
Atmosphere in the house is very relaxed and while we didn't get to meet Nadir, Emilio was a perfect host.
There is a bakery next door that has an eye watering selection of treats.
Staying in Casa San Sebastian was just what I needed for my 9-day vacation in Antigua. Nadir was the perfect host -- very helpful, engaging, and an all-round super guy. My room had a great bed, nice soft sheets, and a private bath with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The house was just a ten-minute walk to the main part of Antigua, with so many interesting things to see on the way including the ruins of San Sebastian church, La Merced, as well as interesting shops and places to eat or to get a shot of Guatemalan espresso. There are also several bakeries, a farmacia, food shops, and two optical stores very close by, and it is only an 8 block walk to the Mercado Central, where you can get just about everything under the sun. Visiting that market was one of the highlights of my stay. I felt totally safe staying in this neighborhood, even when I walked back from town in the dark. The best part was taking a different route every day to get the the center of Antigua. I might not have seen so much of this beautiful, colonial city had I been closer to the Central Park. Guatemala is so rich in culture and history that I know I will be going back again in the next few months, and I hope I can stay at Casa Sebastian again. Just wear your shoes or a pair of socks -- his sweet cat Amor likes to play with feet!
Nadir is a wonderful host: friendly, generous, interesting. I stayed with him for several days while traveling through Guatemala. The house is charming, clean and very close to everything you want to see in Antigua. Nadir knows a lot about history and local colonial architecture. Highly recommended!
My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and loved it. The room is large and the bed is comfy and has proper sheets so it is like staying in your own bed! Emilio is very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. I worked online for a couple of days and the internet connection and courtyard were perfect for this. But the best part of our stay was the kitty, he has such a big personality and he hung out with us the whole time we were there - we miss him already! I would def recommend staying here : )
we had such an awsome time at nadir's place in antigua! the house is very cute and he gave us some useful advises on the city and on guatemala. nadir is a fun person to talk to!
We stayed at Nadir's place a week in April and travelled around. We found the place homy, with a local character, approx 7 min to the center and close to restaurants, museums, galleries and shopping. Internet access, the inner courtyard and friendly curious cat Amor are a big plus in creating a relaxing atmosphere after day's travels. The host Nadir's partner Emil took good care of us and we were able to communicate even though he spoke little English. The room and the services are basic, TV with a few Spanish channels, hot water boiler to be switched on each time manually, but cost wise it's fair. One has to take into consideration that the place is on a very busy street, thus there is constant noise and smog. All in all the experience was pretty nice and we would recommend the place for others.
