Interaction with Guests
In the evenings, we enjoy going to the climbing gym, running, hiking, playing board games, or watching a movie. Let us know if you have any questions or there is anything we can do to make your stay more enjoyable.
Many restaurant, fast food, and grocery options are only a 1/2 mile away. The city bus service (Phoenix Metro) stops 1/4 mile north of the house and can take you to the airport or ASU main campus/downtown Tempe. The Legacy and Raven Golf Clubs are just across Baseline Road to the north of us.
Other Things to Note
The rooms are both on the second floor, which will require going up stairs. Since we have two rooms listed separately, there could be another guest staying in the room next to yours who would share the bathroom with you. Each guest room comes with a key so you can lock the door when you are out.
Please let us know what time you plan to arrive on your first day and depart on your last day.
No smoking indoors.
If you would like to bring a pet with you, let us know in advance because it may not work out depending on the circumstances.
The internet and appliances are available for you to use.
We have two listings on Airbnb, so unless you are booking for 3 or more people, the booking is only for the room with the full size bed and brown desk (A room).
Don't hesitate to ask if you need anything or have any questions.
I only spent 7 hours at thier house but Richard was very nice and greeted upon my late arrival. Beautiful home wish I had mire time to enjoy it.
Rich and Alana were wonderful hosts! Definitely a beyond pleasant experience.
Id arrived mid afternoon and was greeted by Alana with great warmth. She showed me to my room and we chatted for a great deal of time. She and her husband have been sharing their home for years; this place was designed with AirBNB guests in mind.
The two rentable rooms are situated on the far end of the upper floor with their bathroom and that wonderful loft-space that I hardly ever left. Id have slept there if other guests werent around. Rich and Alanas room is on the far left; that entire right side feels all your own. Its impossible to feel like you're invading on someones house.
The lower floor is riddled with board games, magazines, books, and puzzles to keep you entertained your entire stay if traveling alone like I was. My days consisted of waking up, sitting on the back patio with a cup of coffee and a sketchbook, then going up to the loft with my meals and books.
Rich and Alana are beyond generous; they offered me to join them for dinner the first night, and always asked how my day was when they got home from work. In the event of me possibly needing another night in an otherwise already booked home, they were kind enough to arrange a pseudo-room in their office.
I would recommend this couple to anyone passing through phoenix- anyone, and will definitely return if I find myself in the south.
I just needed a place to stay for one night in Phoenix. Straightforward and comfortable experience, instant wifi connection. Quiet room in quiet neighborhood. Spacious home with plenty of privacy. Hosts were very accommodating and helpful with suggestions for places to eat. Recommend this listing for ease of transaction and stay.
Alana and Richard have a perfect, welcoming home for travellers looking for a comfortable stay near the airport. I was impressed with how well kept and clean the house was, and also how accommodating Alana and Richard were.
There were more than happy to help us with directions in Arizona, and any advice we needed. There were very respectful of privacy, despite the house being shared, and on our last day even baked fresh banana bread they shared with us. Many thanks again!!
Richard and Alana's home was perfect, in person it was even more enjoyable than the pics showed. The neighborhood was clean and quiet. The house immaculate and well appointed. The beds were comfy, and the bathroom clean and generously stocked with even a hair drier. This young couple were a delight to chat with, and I felt very accepted and welcome.
Richard and Alana met us as we arrived and came out and helped with our bags--everything was as described/pictured, only easier and more beautiful. Our room was perfect, with a surprising amount of privacy for a shared site. I enjoyed the back yard in the morning while my mother rested and it was sooo peaceful. The directions were great, and the location let us easily explore the Botanical Gardens and the Heard Museum. An early AM drive to the airport (15 minutes, tops) involved no traffic at all.
They were gracious hosts; I only wish our action packed schedule allowed us more time to get to know them during our two nights there! They were respectful, informative, and kind hosts (really, the curbside assistance was much appreciated!). Would definitely stay again, and I highly recommend this location for anyone.
