The home is above street level which means you have plenty of privacy.
The heart of Sellwood is just 3 short blocks west. Where you will find several collectible and antique stores, a bakery, coffee shops, a tea house in a Caboose, several wonderful restaurants, a popular sock shop, as well as several yoga and Pilates studios. A wonderful private and family friendly home. We loved staying here and walking to the most charming downtown strip. Ryan was attentive and warm. Looking forward to returning to Portland and staying here again!
We had a wonderful surprise when we arrived, he Garden Home was everything we could have wanted and more. The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful wood furniture, the decor, the size of the bathroom and OH THE KITCHEN!! We had many visitors wanting to see your home after we told our family about it's ambience. I know you will have many new bookings.
We look forward to our next visit if you are not booked.
Great spot. loved the equipped kitchenette and the comfy beds! perfect for a small family. Ryan was proactive by email in assuring we were comfortable and content.
Flat was as described and comfortable. Furniture fairly basic but certainly fine for the purpose. Host was very attentive and helpful, making sure all was ok. I would definitely stay here again.
Sellwood is the perfect neighborhood! Ryan and Eric's place is just a 3 block walk up to 13th with great restaurants and shopping. The home itself was spacious and clean, the backyard would have been lovely had it not been 20 degrees outside!
Great place to stay, clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.
My boyfriend and I recently vacationed in Portland and loved staying at Ryan's Sellwood flat. Situated in a charming neighborhood, it has all the comforts of home - comfy bed and living room, nice bathroom, laundry, well-stocked kitchen, etc. It's within a few short blocks of great coffee/tea shops, restaurants, shops/antique stores, an awesome grocery store, wine bar, etc. We couldn't have asked for more and only wish we could've stayed longer. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality and we would love to stay at our place again!

The apartment was clean and spacious as advertised. I enjoyed my stay in Portland, and found the neighbourhood very quiet. The kitchen could possibly have been better equipped, only dinner plates were provided, although small plates were provided later at my request. I have noticed in many apartments where there is a double room and a single one, that it appears the double is for "parents" and the single for "child" - whereas these days it's quite common for 2 single adults to be travelling together, each requiring their own room, as with us this (website hidden) it was no surprise to find that there were 2 mirrors in the double room, but none in the single.Just small touches which make life easier. Again, after 3 days, a mirror was provided in response to my request.
I was disappointed that public transport to the city centre was not easier. As far as I could ascertain, the bus route direct to the city went from Bybee, a good ten minutes walk away, and it then took over 45 minutes to Pioneer Square.
I had a wonderful stay at the Sellwood Flat! Ryan has a beautiful home and lovely garden. Location was easy to get to downtown and was nice to be able to walk to cafes and restaurants close by.
I would definitely stay here again!
We've just returned from a wonderful vacation in Ryan and Eric's Sellwood home. It was a perfect fit for our family of 3, our toddler had her own room and enjoyed the backyard and garden 'living room' immensely. I had to pry her from the swing the last day! The layout of the flat worked great for us. The bathroom and kitchen are both spacious and we loved the furnishings. The woodwork is especially notable. 13th Street, the main drag of Sellwood, is just 4 blocks away and the walk to Sellwood Park and pool is about 15 minutes. A really lovely stroll through a beautiful, safe neighborhood. Eric and Ryan were gracious hosts to us and we look forward to many more future stays in this home!
