  • This NW stay is everything and more. The location is perfect for walking (if you are not afraid of a few hills) into the NW and exploring all of the restaurants and bars Portland has to offer. The view from the bedroom is amazing even on a typical rainy day. The bed was comfortable and the downstairs was perfect for watching some college basketball. The kitchen is well equipped as we decided to stay in one night and cook a fantastic meal. We plan to stay here again in the near future.

  • We love the villa! It's a little gem with a great location, and we will definitely be back. The accommodations are fine, easy to use, and comfortable. We especially love the privacy and nearness to the NW neighborhood we love so much.

  • My boyfriend and I were looking for a cozy getaway while we were travelling in Portland and Jerry's place was just perfect! It's a great size for a couple. The location provided easy access to great places to shop and eat in the NW. The Hillside area was also a great place to explore great views of the city and we had access to Forrest Park hiking trails within minutes. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to others!

  • My husband and I chose Jerry's Villa for our week long stay in Portland at the beginning of March. We always stay in vacation rentals when we go out of town, and this was by far the best rental we have stayed in.

The villa was well located, only about a 10 minute walk from NW 23rd street. The walk is a pretty steep downhill/uphill walk, but it was fine for us (good for walking off all of the good food!). You also have your own parking space which came in handy for us since we had a rental car. Public transit was a 10 minute walk as well, although we didn't utilize it since it was rainy and cold. We would definitely use it if we came back in the summertime!

The main living space was very comfortable. The small gas heater/furnace was heated the room very well. We brought our Apple TV along with us and were able to plug it into the HDTV, which was very nice.

We didn't cook much, but the kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed. There was extra coffee leftover along with sugar, which held us until we could go buy our own. This was very nice!

The bathroom was fairly sizable (which you can't really tell from the pictures), and the bathtub/shower was larger than average. I could see where it would come in handy for bathing little ones.

The bedroom was a good size as well, and the King bed was a nice feature (we've found these hard to find in vacation rentals). It was a bit hard, but it could have been worse! A mattress topper would have been nice to have.

The overall Villa was filled with older/antique furniture which gave it a very "homey" feel to it. The little things like the extra coffee, extra bath soap, sugar, tea and coffee liners were so very convenient since we were coming from so far out of town. There was also a washer and dryer that would come in handy if you needed it! Additionally, Jerry was able to accomodate us with an early check-in and checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Lastly, the Villa was very very clean, you wouldn't even know it was a vacation rental.

The only thing we could have asked for was a little bit better wi-fi connection. It was very spotty, and we had to reset the router several times to get it to work, but when it worked it was fine!

Thank you Jerry for a lovely stay, we will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Portland (in the summer time!).

  • Cute house, nice neighborhood, and great view from the bedroom window.
Driveway takes a bit of getting used to (concrete walls, narrow). Take care by the front steps when parking. Easy to dent your front fender if it's low to the ground.
Nice kitchen, bath and bedroom. Internet works only in upstairs bedroom. None in kitchen or living room downstairs.

Jerry was very easy to get in touch with for any questions. A congenial host.

    I enjoyed my stay here.

  • My daughters and I stayed at this charming place for three days. The unit is within a mile of all my favorite old haunts in the varied and bustling neighborhood of NW Portland. Plenty of restaurants and shops, parking and walkable streets. We loved the cozy atmosphere and quiet at night Gerry's spot provided, and having off street parking really helped. At one point we had an issue with the cable and Gerry responded immediately and came to check it out. We highly recommend this very affordable and comfortable space!

  • Generally as described. Very nice place for 2-3 people. The house is in the hills and our rental car had some trouble getting up the driveway with all the snow cover and no plows the weekend we were there. Friendly neighborhood. The garden/courtyard that is shown is not accessible for the unit.

  • Thank you Jerry for sharing your cozy home with us this weekend! The location was perfect, we walked to and from wedding events in downtown/NW Portland, and the view is gorgeous. We had everything we needed; your place is a hills oasis.

  • The villa was terrific! We had a nice view of the downtown from the hillside bedroom window. It was convenient to the NW and Pearl Districts. Nicely furnished. We llike staying in our own house/apartment when we travel rather than a sterile hotel. Thanks, Jerry!

  • Jerry was such a friendly and wonderful host!! His place is in a beautiful neighborhood close to shops but it is best to have a car - the walk is down some serious hills. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
