Spacious, fully furnished 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of historic village in the Adirondacks. Short walk or drive to Lake Champlain beaches and marinas, and easy access to outdoor activities in Keene Valley and Lake Placid, and Vermont.

The space
The apartment is in the heart of the village, and while you can walk to the grocery store, restaurants, and wine shop (among other places) it is at the foothills of the Adirondacks, so most streets are on a steep incline. The apartment is spacious and comfortable for a group but do expect some road noise as it's on a busy street.

Where you’ll be

Port Henry, New York, United States

Foote's Port Henry Diner is one of the oldest surviving diners in the country, and two blocks from the apartment. Built by Ward & Dickinson in 1926, it has been in the same location in Port Henry (next to the Mac's grocery store) since 1933. It was renovated in 2000 and received an award at that time from Adirondack Architectural Heritage. Don't miss it for breakfast or lunch, open Wed-Sun, 7-2.

We also now have a lovely new cafe, in a rehabbed historic building, that is only a block away that serves light meals from 11-9 Thursday through Monday, and 11-2 on Sundays. The cafe features paninis, soups, crepes, and salads, as well as coffee, wine and beer.

Recently retired from an administrative position at Harvard University, I purchased a building in town where I run a small craft shop with two partners. The Airbnb apartment offered is newly renovated and located above the craft shop. In addition to the craft shop, I enjoy gardening, reading, knitting, cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I have traveled many places but enjoy Mexico the most.
