Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
Stay in a real brewery built in 1891 where they brewed the Hauenstein beer until 1969. Remodeled in the authentic rustic industrial style of the era, rent the lower level unit with 2 romantic rooms, a parlor, coffee bar and bathroom. The private upper garden has a fire pit, cellar and dining area surrounded by forest and fire-flies. There is No Kitchen. The building is surrounded by an underground creek, so it stays cool naturally. It’s a 7 min walk to Schell’s brewery & 4 min drive downtown.

The space
This 1891 building is composed of: 1) the Washouse where gigantic beer barrels were washed and 2) the fermentation building where the Hauenstein beer was fermented. It is located in a historic district. The backyard is a shared space with the owner. Due to the historic nature of the brewery, we do not allow children under 16 or pets. also, if you require the sofa bed to be made, it is an additional $35 charge. Please communicate this to the host at tine of booking - thank you.

Guest access
Right front door of parking lot (with stairs)

Other things to note
Please note there is no full kitchen, just a coffee bar, microwave, mini fridge and dining table with seating, sofa and wing back chairs to accommodate 5 people. We e do not allow children under 16, infants or pets. The Gazebo is not part of our property and should not be accessed unless you request this ahead of your reservation (we can ask our neighbor). Also, if you require the pullout sofa to be converted to a bed with linens an extra charge applies, please ask your host. We are also offering the main hall for rent just above the Airbnb in a room with 16’ ceilings 30’x70’ with majestic table seating 20 and large sectional couch, TV and our personal kitchen with access to backyard. This is the “wash house”where the large barrels of beer were washed. This is $100 per hour in addition to the rooms which can be added to your Airbnb fee by letting us know. Thank you.
