Our stay at Riad Lola was one big pleasure! The house is incredible. Right from the busy souk you step through a wooden door into a world of peace and beauty. The room was romantic and clean. The staff was very kind and helpfull. We even received a nice surprise because it was both our birthdays during our stay. In the morning we had a delicious breakfast on the roof and you can feel the city come alive. We would definitly recommend this location to everybody!
The riad was great--beautiful and in a great location in the medina, but once inside, amazingly quiet and tranquil. The rooms and common areas were nicely decorated, and the rooftop terrace was perfect for unwinding after a long day. The list of recommended restaurants Marc sent us beforehand was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.
Marc is a wonderful host! I needed help finding his place from my other riad, and he walked over on a rainy night within a few minutes after I sent him an email. It is very close to the Djeema El-Fna -- the main attraction in Morocco. It was very surreal exiting the bustling, active market and entering the tranquil, lovely riad. He let me smoke my Cuban cigar on the terrace and provided food and water for my long day trip to the mountains and casbahs in Berber country. On my last morning, I had a big breakfast on the terrace. Wifi works well. I wished I could have stayed another day to enjoy the pool, sunbathe, and relax.
We had the pleasure to stay at Riad Lola for one week in March. Marc was a great host and always helpful in giving good recommendations where to go and where to eat. The service is attentive and the Riad itself is located in the center of the heart of the Medina. There is definitely no better place to go.
The experience was wonderful. The riad is amazing and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. The location is ideally located in the medina but amazingly quiet. You can't go wrong staying here. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Very nice riad very near to the Jemaa el Fna square. The riad and the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the welcome was very warm. A true recommendation for visiting Marrakech.
I took my boyfriend to Riad Lola as a surprise for his birthday, and Marc was fantastic in arranging pick up and drop off from the airport, put us in an amazing room and left cava and strawberries for our arrival. Although we didn't meet Marc there, his mum Lola was a great host and recommended and booked a Hammam for us at Le Bain Bleu, do it! It's an experience! Lola also arranged a day trip for us into the Atlas Mountains to treck the Ourika Valley waterfalls and meet a Berber family, where we bought Argan oil after watching it being made. Our driver Kamal spoke English and gave us lots of info and recommendations on Marrakech. Overall it was a lovely break, great host, yummy breakfasts and extremely clean and beautiful surroundings at Riad Lola. Try the lamb burger at Nomad, the cocktails at Salaman and the sunset at Cafe de la France, all 5 mins from the Riad. And 5 mins in a taxi for Le Comptoir and Jad Mahal for late night entertainment and drinks. If you appreciate a posh meal you must try Gastro MK where the chef Omar will come out for a chat, he was trained by Gordon Ramsay :) have fun!
