In this traditional Victorian home you will have access to four bedrooms adjacent to two bathrooms, and a half bath in the living area.
The apartment is a grand 2-level top floor Victorian Condominium residence which offers the best of historic Victorian charm with the best of contemporary modern City living. Home features an ideal floor plan, with 4 bedrooms on one level and a grand open living/kitchen and dining on the upper level.
Each bedroom features ample closet space and a queen size bed. Two of the bedrooms have access to a quiet private deck overlooking a garden and share one bathroom. the third and fourth bedrooms have access to a bathroom and a view of the park. The apartment overlooks the verdant Panhandle of Golden Gate Park. Top floor features a stunning Great Room that's ideal for dining and entertaining, or simply lounging at home. This house-like residence enjoys grand space in NOPA, one of San Francisco's premier neighborhoods.
We do not provide parking, however, we do encourage our guests NOT TO RENT A CAR unless you will be going out of town. Parking is difficult in San Francisco. If you do rent a car, let us know and we will guide you to the best way to find parking in the neighborhood
We are across the Golden Gate Park within walking distance of the DeYoung museum, Academy of Sciences, the Japanese Garden. We are steps to fine restaurants such as Bistro Central Parc on Grove and Central, Nopalito, NOPA (one of the top 100 restaurants in the City) , and grocery stores such as Whole Foods, Falleti Foods, and Bi Rite Market on Divisadero Street.
We are central, midway between downtown financial district and the beach. There are 6 bus lines to the financial district area with one of them within 1 block of the property.
Other Things to Note
For monthly stays, the cleaning fee is charged per week, and there is a security deposit equal to one month.
Please NO SMOKING Our neighbors downstairs have small children and one of them is very sensitive to smoke.
AVOID SHOES in the house please. During the spring time especially, there is a lot of pollen in the park, keeping your shoes downstairs avoid bringing all the dirt and pollen inside the house.
NO EVENTS OR PARTIES – We rent our home for family vacation and business stays. QUIET HOURS are defined as hours from 9:00PM to 8:00AM on weekdays and from 10:00PM to 9:00AM on weekends. No loud noises that could disturb the neighbors from quiet enjoyment of their homes are allowed during this time. No guests allowed that are not 'registered guests”. Absolutely NO parties or large gatherings are permitted. We also ask that you take loud conversation inside during these hours.
LIVING ROOM : Please limit the wine drinking and other types of food that could stain to the kitchen and dining area. There is a Bose system and a connection for your Ipod that will allow you to listen to your favorite music.
Please help yourselves to spices and whatever oils and condiments you need for cooking. Also help yourselves to any foods in the refrigerator. Before using, please check the garbage disposal for any small utensils that may have slipped down. There are some tablets for the dishwasher and dishwashing liquid under the sink cabinet.
You will need to turn the gas on before using the grill. Please remember to turn it off when you are finished. If you are drinking outside, please do not place bottles or anything on the railing as they may fall in the backyard and break. There are children who play downstairs. The backyard is for the use of the neighbors.
DOWNSTAIRS: Avoid food and drink (except for water) downstairs because of all the bedding.
BATHROOMS – All bathrooms are equipped with a GFI outlet which means that any water will cause the light system to turn off automatically. If that does happen, simply push the red button and it will reset the electrical system in the bathroom.
Please collect our mail each day and place it in the mantel of the decorative fireplace in the front bedroom. Thank you.
We are happy to share our toys. We only ask that you treat them kindly and return them to the locations in which they were found when you are finished playing with them. The toys can be found in the drawer near the television.
GARBAGE/REFUSE Please separate your garbage into the standard 3 bins on the left of the house as you leave: Black for garbage, Blue for recycling (plastic, bottles, paper) and Green for compost (includes food soiled paper).
HEAT The house has a dual heating system. There are 2 controls, one on each level. On the first floor, the control is in the hallway near the back bedrooms and in the living room it is near the stairs. To run it, simply put the button on heat. It is automatic. There is a 10 degree difference between the two levels as it is best to sleep with the heater off.
INTERPHONE There are two of them, one on each level. If the top is locked, you cannot open the door with the interphone.
ACCESS TO PREMISES:
The owner reserves the right to enter the residence at reasonable times to inspect, make necessary repairs, supply services or show it to prospective residents, purchasers, mortgages, workmen or contractors.
DAMAGE OR LOSS OF TENANTS, GUESTS OR THEIR PERSONAL PROPERTY:
The homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, illness or death that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm to themselves or to others whom they invite to the premises, which arises from their use of the premises.
While there is no Check out time, we do request that guests let us know what time they are leaving on the day before departure so that we can prepare for the next guest.
Please strip beds and place all used linens and towels near the laundry room.
Please load and run the dishwasher.
Our cleaning lady has been with us 19 years and while she expects to clean, she does not anticipate excessive cleaning. Leave the place as you found it.
Please leave the keys hanging on top of the staircase. The door will be locked behind you on your way out. Be careful not to forget anything as you will not be able to come back in without the key. Remember to close the back deck doors before you leave.
We understand that accidents happen. Please let us know if anything was broken or damaged during your stay.
We appreciate you respecting our home and our rules, and please communicate openly with us and we will do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, productive and enjoyable.

Jacques place is a gorgeous gem in one of the best locations in the city. This is a beautifully designed space will truly make you feel like a San Francisco native. The place was super clean and comfortable, with 4 large bedrooms, ample amount of fluffy towels and all the amenities we could need. Jacques was very welcoming and met us at the apartment to give us a tour of the place.
The apartment is located right on the panhandle and is a short walk from the beautiful Golden Gate Park. Thank you Jacques for a wonderful stay!
Was an absolute pleasure to stay at Jacques! A bit farther from the main beat of San Francisco, but Jacques was friendly, available and an excellent host! The apartment itself is beautiful.
Vidunderlig lejlighed og fantastisk værtspar. Lejligheden er præcis så smuk som på billederne og Claude og Jacques er præcis så søde som alle skriver. Vi lejede cykler lige i nærheden, og havde ingen problemer med at cykle til alt hvad vi ville i SF. Den ene aften var der fest i lejligheden nedenunder og grillrøg fra deres altan, men det er hvad der følger med at bo i byen, og var ikke det store problem. Området er superhyggeligt og placeringen lige i nærheden af GG Park er ret fantastisk.

Fantastic apartment in San Francisco (just as described and as per the photos). Great location by the park among historic houses and close to good restaurants and bars. The apartment is spacious, clean and has good sized bedrooms and a separate kitchen/diner/living room floor. The hosts are very communicative and welcoming, and everything was perfectly organised for our stay. Highly recommended, many thanks to Claude and Jacques for making our week so fantastic!
We loved staying at Jacques and Claude's (email hidden)ey were very accomodating and the unit was spacious, clean, well furnished and well equipped. It was close to public transport, a great coffee shop and the Golden Gate Park. They were extremely helpful throughout our stay.
I traveled from New York with many days of work ahead of me. Jacque and his very sweet wife greeted me at the listing as soon as I arrived. He took me around his home to show me around and pointed out the useful amenities. He also had great toiletries available! On my last day, he and his wife met me back at his listing to return the keys and say goodbye. I hope to stay in touch. The place is very cozy and easy to feel at home. Also, the heater works great.
My only disappointment is that I didn't have the time to visit their french restaurant. There's always next time!

We are foodies and have lived in San Francisco for over 25 years. We think it is the most beautiful city in the world and provides the perfect mix of European and American culture.
