I’d say that Mickey’s place is a home away from home, but honestly, I’ve never lived anywhere nearly as cool as this house! It’s a wonderful combination of clean, contemporary design and homey comfort. On sunny days, it felt like the whole interior was bathed in sunlight. There’s plenty of room to spread out and there are many options for sleeping areas, which makes it ideal for a group of friends (like mine) because we could comfortably hang out without feeling like we were constantly invading each other’s privacy. And it felt like absolute luxury to have three separate bathrooms! The master bath, in particular, is amazing.
I loved that the house was set back from the street a little, so coming back to it each day felt like entering a quiet and peaceful retreat house.
Most of all, I truly appreciated how thoughtful and responsive Mickey was in all of his explanations about the house and neighborhood, and in all of our communications. It’s such a relief to not feel adrift when you're staying in a different city. Mickey took great care to make sure we felt welcome, secure and comfortable. I completely recommend this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat!
I would highly recommend staying here!
The apartment was comfortable, fully equipped (Awesome kitchen) and super clean. Having all those shops and restaurants (Tartine especially) within five minutes walk was ideal. Also, the apartment is located in the best area in Mission District. Dolores park is just across the street with fabulous view of San Francisco skyline.
Definitely enjoy the stay at Mickey's place.
Really lovely home, right next to a lively park and great shops/restaurants for food. Was very clean on arrival and there was a good guide book to give us ideas for things to do. Would recommend this place if you are ever looking to rent in San Francisco.
Lovely appartment, big enough for 6 people, phantastic view over San Francisco, nice and safe neighbourhood with a lot of good restaurant and stores. We were really surprised about the high standard and the fair conditions. The only problem is, that you feel at home and dont want to leave the appartment during your stay.
This was our first Airbnb experience. Mickey is a very gracious host and this location was perfect! Prior to checking in, he kept in touch providing up-to-the-minute information to make sure we were all set. We had previously only stayed in hotels when visiting San Francisco and wanted a better place to congregate with friends. The house is contemporary yet comfortable with many amenities including a washer and dryer. The kitchen and living areas were great for cooking and entertaining. And, the bedrooms are downstairs away from the main traffic and quite private. The house is located very close to a Muni stop making it very easy to get around and there are restaurants and a grocery store within a block or two. You definitely do not need a car if staying here.
We had a great stay in San Francisco - and the house really made it! Great location with lovely park outside the front door, lots of amazing places to eat on the doorstep and easy access to public transport. The house was lovely - really comfortable and well equipped - a gorgeous home. Would be back in a flash and would certainly recommend highly. Thanks for having us!
This place was exceptional! My parents and sister were in town for my graduation and wanted to stay somewhere close to my apartment (in the mission), and Mickey's place was so conveniently located, right on Dolores park with beautiful views from the apartment. Mickey was a wonderful host, responding to my inquiry immediately and he gave a lot of useful information on the house and area. The interior of the house was stunning and there was more than enough room for 4 people. This location in the mission is amazing as well, right next to all the best restaurants and overlooking the park. I highly recommend this place!
I visited San Francisco many years ago as a tourist, and fell in love with the city.
I told myself I'd come back, and I did!
I moved to San Francisco 7 years ago, from the East Coast, for work.
During the winter, I'm up in Tahoe snowboarding almost every weekend. The rest of the year I enjoy discovering new music and restaurants. When the wind is good, my latest hobby is sailing around the Bay with friends.
I love to travel and try to do it as often as possible.
When I travel, I appreciate the hospitality of others and hope to return that hospitality when I have guests stay at my house.
I want you to feel welcomed and fall in love with San Francisco, like I did.
