  • This apartment is perfect for anyone who wants the best imaginable location - and conditions - to visit the rejuvenated heart of Mexico City, the Centro Historico. Located in Revillagigedo, a stone's thrown from the Alemada Park, and alongside the Hilton Hotel, you are within easy strolling distance of Bellas Artes and the Zocalo, great museums, wonderful shopping and two key Metro stations, Bellas Artes and Hidalgo. The apartment, No4D, is on the fourth flour, Tower One, of this modern block. There are two key entrances - on Revillagigedo and Independencia - with helpful, courteous 24 hour concierges. The absentee host, Gonzalo Coello, is a great communicator and does everything he can to ensure you are well informed ahead of your stay. His on the ground representative, Juan Pablo Ramirez, is a phone call away if you need help with anything. He came to meet and greet us, and settle us into the delightful two bedroom apartment, which has all the mod cons, from air conditioning to cable TV. Juan Pablo also provided on behalf of the host a mobile to use during our stay, which was easily recharged at the nearest Seven Eleven. The apartment has access to a 9th floor pool (get there early or it might be crowded) and to a very efficient and inexpensive laundry and dry cleaning service. Our favourite local restaurant, Los Girasoles, is a few hundred metres away, and there's a little supermarket an easy stroll around the corner in Balderas, but ask directions, as the entrance is not immediately obvious. You can walk, if you are energetic, to the wonderful artesan market, La Ciudadela. You will also find some wonderful bargains just up the street in the Alemada Park. In short this apartment was the perfect base for my wife and I to rediscover the beauty and vibrance of Mexico. We are most grateful to Gonzalo and to Juan Pablo for their consideration and assistance, which made
our stay one to to remember.

  • I recently stayed at this rental for a week while vacationing in Mexico City with my family!

Gonzalo and Juan Pablo could not have been better hosts. They were extremely helpful and kind in helping me with my questions and in constant communication with me prior to my trip, during and after!

The apartment itself was perfect. Exactly like the pictures listed and even better in person. We were a group of 5 and fit comfortably. It was spacious, clean, new, comfortable and had everything we needed. The building itself had many amenities such as rooftop decks, gardens,a pool, gym and 24 hour security. The location could not have been better either. We were within walking distance of 2 metro statons, restaurants, bars, shopping, Parque Alameda, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Zocalo, and many other major attractions.

My family and I had the best time in Mexico City and definitely plan to return and stay at Gonzalo's place again in the near future.

I already recommended this rental to my friends and family and also highly recommend this rental for anyone else out there who is planning on traveling to Mexico City! You won't regret it!

Muchas gracias Gonzalo!!! Voy a volver pronto!!! :-)

  • Everything was all right, the place is fine. On a backstreet, around the corner from the Hilton Alameda Hotel. Exactly as advertised. The gym was great as there is virtually nobody till 18:00. The only real supermarket (not an Oxxo or 7/11) is on Balderas, some 300m from the flat- you can find there pretty much anything you might need. The place is nice and quiet at night- we stayed for a whole week and not once were we awaken by running vars..... as said, it's a one direction backstreet.

  • Had a great month staying at Gonzalo's apartment and hope that I can stay there again when I return to Mexico City! Firstly, Gonzalo was great in answering my numerous questions prior to booking and so was Juan Pablo, his Real Estate Agent. As I was staying relatively long-term, Gonzalo asked if there was anything I needed and bought additional kitchen equipment when I asked for it, which I thought was great and above the call of duty. Angela, Juan Pablo's colleague, was waiting for me when I arrived at the apartment and checked me in and answered any questions I had.
The apartment was exactly as shown in the online photos and was very comfortable for my husband and myself. I was able to cook many meals there with no problem. The WIFI was fast and I had no issues with it during my stay. The gym was great and had up to date equipment and the building also had an indoor pool. The location was excellent and very close to many downtown sights (Zocalo, Palacio de Bellas Artes, National Palace, Templo Mayor, etc., and also Metros Juarez and Hidalgo and several Metrobus stops). Security was tight in the building and in the area overall and staff were great in organizing radio taxis for myself. The apartment also has a parking space and Juan Pablo even dropped me off the parking permit personally within an hour of me e-mailing him...again, great service! The price was great when compared with booking a good hotel room for a month and I had the freedom to cook, which was a priority for me.
What else can I say? In a nutshell, excellent! As mentioned before, I aim to book the same apartment when I return to Mexico City (if available, of course!). Gracias, Gonzalo!

  • Very satisfied with this apartment. You can't beat the location just off the charming Parque Alameda and the Bellas Artes -- and of course all the sights and experiences of the Centro Historico are right at your doorstep. Very clean, very safe, very accessible. Recommended. Juan Pablo and Gonzalo could not have been more helpful, in everything from providing a local cell phone, to suggesting grocery stores nearby.

One thing to note: there is all the noise of a big city here, and it goes late into the night. Be prepared!

  • Perfect location! Truly strategic place

  • Gonzalo and his assistant, Juan Pablo, were extremely helpful and accommodating. The apartment is very well appointed for and brief or long stay. TV, wi-fi, kitchen appliances, AC unit, cell phone, swimming pool, etc. The location was ideal for us, close to parks, museums, shopping, restaurants, subway, markets. We had a really terrific time in Mexico City. Our only complaint was the street noise. The streetside windows have poor sound insulation, and this is a busy, noisy, 24-hr city. Bring earplugs or sleep with two pillows crammed against your ears.

  • Gonzalo is very helpful. His flat is well located, confortable and very clean.

    November 2013
  • Good location, good wifi, good water pressure and a professional host. I would recommend staying at Gonzalo's apartment.

  • A small apartment well suited for our purpose. Two families stayed here. Gonzalo and Juan were very prompt in responding to our calls. They provided two local phones for our use very useful. The location is fantastic but its on a low level facing Independencia which is a main street- so street noise is an issue at night. Gonzalo gave us a second fan immediately and that helped us a lot at night. Both in cutting the noise and with the heat. There is a toaster in the apartment and the kitchen is fairly well equipped. The place is clean and I would definitely recommend this place.

I am from Mexico City, but I am living now in NYC while studying a master degree in Music Performance (Piano). While I come back, I rent my place on airbnbn. A friend of mine manages the property making sure everything goes well with my guests. I like Mexico City very much, and I know every single thing to do and see there, specially historical places and museum. I like to analyze and understand how the city has taken it's current shape, leaving traces of the past if you are curious enough..
