This home offers one bedroom with a view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, 7 chickens, 4 fish, and a pig! We live on an acre of land, with a big fenced in yard in the back with a firepit or just a place to sit and enjoy the sun. We have wireless internet and loads of books and magazines for you to enjoy. We are open to letting your furry friend visit too, but would need to discuss their stay beforehand.
We live in a rural community with lots of wild life, a view of the mountains, and of the stars at night. The Navitat ziplining adventure is off our exit as well. We live 18 miles from Asheville, 13 miles from UNCA, 3 miles from downtown Weaverville, 2 miles from Madison County line, Mars Hill College and the Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre, and 27 miles from hot springs..
We have one lovely private room and a shared bath in a 1200 square foot home.
We are happy to point you in the right direction for our favorite spots (we have quite a few) and help you navigate around all the other fantastic options that Asheville (or Weaverville) has to offer.
The house is a 1960s ranch style with original hardwood floors in common areas and ceramic tile in kitchen and bathroom. Ceiling fans, air conditioning and energy efficient heat keep the house comfortable no matter when you come to visit. Rooms have electric heat and window a/c units.
Your room has two windows, which provide lots of natural light. This room has a chest of drawers and a closet to hang and put away all your things. A stuffed chair sits in the corner for you to relax. And a full bed where you can sleep like a baby!
Your stay comes with access to our full kitchen and use of our laundry area in the basement. We have tea and coffee on hand and always available to you.
We would love to talk with you about your adventures and your potential stay at our home!

We only had the opportunity to meet Mindy who was very nice. Our favorite part of the stay at this location were the pets. They were all well-behaved and adorable! The listing was just as advertised and we would recommend this place.
Angie and Mindy's house was perfect for our two nights in Asheville. The place is exactly as advertised, and was in a lovely location 15min from downtown. The room was cozy and the house was very clean, even with so many pets! And what great pets! We loved spending time with Bailey, Izzy, Gracie and most of all, with Annie! We had a great time and hope to be back someday.
Mindy and Angie's place was very cozy and comfortable. Their pets were adorable and very friendly. I would recommend staying in this cozy country home. It is quiet, welcoming and a short drive to downtown Asheville.
Mindy and Angie have a lovely home! They were very welcoming. They have lots of pets, and they are all well behaved. The bed is super comfy, and the mountain view is amazing.
Mindy and Angie are both nice people. They offered us a cozy 2 night stay. We love the cute cats in their house. It's also very convenient for us to visit the beautiful town, Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains.
Angie and Mindy's home was warm and welcoming! We arrived at a very late hour and our comfy room was a welcome respite to the long drive. The cats, Annie and Grace, welcomed us. We woke to the smell of coffee that Angie had prepared. We visited briefly and were off to see Asheville, only a short drive south. We really enjoyed our stay here. Water is hot. Room is cozy.
Animals are friendly and well behaved. Hosts are kind and hospitable.
It felt like home away from home. So glad they had space for us!
The listing was exactly as described, wonderful eclectic environment, rural setting, delightful experience. Cats, dogs, chickens, pigs, and two very nice gals, provided a memorable time.
We have been together for 8 years. We live a quiet life with lots of time at work, but love time at home to enjoy each other's company and the company of our pets. We are vegetarian and have a great appetite for fresh, healthy food.
Mindy-I am a certified Aesthetician, but also clean houses, and pet sit. I love working in my yard and garden. I recently got a membership to the YMCA and enjoy Tabatha and zumba! Reading and cooking are also two of my loves. I also love thrift store shopping and can tell you the best places to find a good deal!
Angie- I work as the Director of Operations for a local Animal Rescue in the area. I am a workaholic, I play guitar, love to read, drink lots coffee, and of course love animals of all kinds.
