A clean and comfy guest room with two double beds awaits you in a newly built apartment in Bushwick Brooklyn. Perfect for weekend getaways! Sleeps up to 4.
Free Wifi all the time. The house is near two main subway lines, L and J trains, just 20 mins to New York City. A and C trains also walking distance for easy access to Barclays Center and Downtown Brooklyn.
Washer, dryer and ironing board available. Guest room is on the lower level, is private with a door that locks with a key while you are out. It has bookshelves and a wardrobe.
Private full bath with shower to yourself. Microwave, fridge, water kettle included and perfect for late night munchies. Use of living area and cooking in the family kitchen on the main floor is welcome provided you clean up after yourself! :-) Access to beautiful backyard with gazebo for fresh air and sun shine.
C Town supermarket nearby. 24/7 Deli around the corner. A dozen different restaurants Thai, Chinese, Latin, Indian and Soul/American food all deliver to the house.
Just a few minutes away on the L train is the hipsterville we know as Williamsburg with tons of restaurants and nightlife. The immediate area of the house lacks a 'happening' scene and is more quiet.
Hosts are Ingrid (mommy) Lavondo (daddy) and Zinn (2 year old). We have done a lot of traveling ourselves in our younger years when we worked for a cruise liner and we love to meet new people. Hope to meet you!
While I love to host, your privacy will also be respected. There is a private entrance to the guest room so you can come and go as you please at any time of the day or night. Being that it is a family home, I would not expect a bachelor pad environment.
Smoking is permitted at the front of the house but only outside and far away from the doors and windows. Smoking is not permitted in the backyard or in the room.
Washer and dryer is available but each load is $5. Laundry soap is available for free. Conserve water and electricity whenever possible.
No overnight guests who are not on the reservation. We will require the names of each reserved guest and may request to see ID of at least one reserved guest upon check in. Reservation requirements include a profile photo. This listing is part of family home so I would not expect a bachelor pad environment.
A local car service which can be at our door to pick you up in usually 5 mins from calling the number is called Bushwick Car Service. (website hidden) If you do not have a US phone to call the car service, please let me know when you will be needing a car and I would be happy to place the call for you.
You can use the main family entrance or your own private entrance to come and go as you please without disturbing a soul.
Thank you so much Ingrid for being our host. The place turned out to be an entire basement apartment. Very clean and we had everything we need. Thank you, highly recommend.
realmente, nos atendieron y recibieron muy bien, frente a nuestras necesidades supieron respondernos, lugar agradable, comodo y barrio tranquilo, cerca del subway .Superaron nuestras expectativas, muy recomendable.Gracias .
We had a great time at Ingrid's and her family's apartment. They welcomed us with food the evening we arrived and made us feel comfortable and safe right away. Great people and a great place to stay.
This was our first time using AirBnB and we're glad to have stayed here. Ingrid and Lavondo were very welcoming, although with all the exploring we did, there wasn't much interaction with them. It's nice that the place has a private entrance, so we were able to come and go and not worry about disturbing anyone in the house. The room itself feels "home-y" in a good way; there is a heater, a microwave, mini-fridge and a coffee maker, although we didn't have a chance to use those. The neighborhood wasn't bad, but it was a little bit distant from all the places we wanted to visit; not to worry thought- there are plenty of trains within a short walk. All in all, this was an enjoyable stay in a city that isn't always the most welcoming.
This was my first time using airbnb and I have to say I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Ingrid was very kind and helpful regarding all matters. Her room is more like a little cute apartment with a perfect location close to the J line and a few smaller supermarkets. Also the hipster paradise, Williamsburg, is very close. I really enjoyed my stay and I can only recommend her room!
This was my first airbnb and I must say it was awesome! The place was as described and very clean. To be honest we had very little interaction with our hosts as Ingrid was out of town and we were out in the morning, back at night, but the few exchanges we did have with her lovely family were VERY pleasant. We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the immediate neighbourhood but found it very easy to get to where we needed to go as there are 3 subways in the vicinity. The L was literally 3 minutes from the door. Honestly it was a really good experience, I have no complaints at all! Our hosts were also very flexible - we were delayed on both the way to NY and from NY and they were very accommodating.
Ingrid was such a great host and the apt is lovely and cozy. It looks just like the photographs, and everything was nice and tidy and organized. She gave me and my friend a key each to get into the apt, and she told us how to get to the trains. The apt is really close to the J and L lines, only a five min walk away to each. There are plenty of places to get food that are within walking distance, and the apt is also super close to two bodegas so that helped a lot. Also during my stay, "the worst blizzard in a decade" was supposed to occur (which it didn't) but Ingrid calmed our nervousness and told us that if the storm did hit hard, she was prepared appropriately and we could go up into the main part of the house if needed. She is a very sweet woman, her home is lovely and I would most definitely stay here again.

Hosts are Ingrid (mom and office worker in Midtown), Lavondo (dad and musician), and Zinn (1.5 year old boy). Lavondo is from Akron OH and I am from the Philippines. We met while working on passenger cruise liners traveling the world. A couple of years ago, we decided to settle in Brooklyn and start a family. We love to host but will also respect your privacy.
