A NOTE: This apartment is NOT an illegal sublet like so many NY rental apartments! This is a two family private house, not a three family or more house or building. Supporting proof for a Class B townhouse is available.
Top three floors of a brand new architect built Brooklyn townhouse, with a large rooftop terrace and multiple balconies, under 5 minutes walking to BAM, the new Barclay Center for the Brooklyn Nets basketball, other sports and entertainment events, all major subway lines, the Long Island Railroad to the Hamptons, and to JFK airport via the airtrain in only 30" for around 12$... The terrace with views of rooftops and trees is enchanting and has a large BBQ grill and table which seats six/eight people. Another smaller table for four can be used there as well for children or adults. 3 bedrooms with double beds (one king, one queen, one full), 1 single bedroom/office with a fold out bed, 2.5 baths, balconies outside every bedroom, open plan kitchen-dining-living room. 1 bedroom comes complete with toys, children's books, etc. The apartment can accommodate 2 people in each double bed, as well as a single person in the office/bedroom on a pull out chairbed for a total of 7 people. It is possible to add two more in a convertible sofa in the top floor room adjacent to the terraces for 2 extra persons, and airbeds are possible for an extra 2 or 3 people for a total of 12 people. I don't automatically offer the top floor ensuite room as there is an unprotected mezzanine which kids like to climb onto. This private bedroom and bathroom has a brand new sofa bed. Completely furnished with imported luxury European furniture, radiant heat in the floors, new appliances including washer/dryer, dishwasher, and Jacuzzi bathtub; central air conditioning and heating with remote control, fast WiFi, stereo & flat screen LCD cable TV/DVD with many available for borrow. The premises are protected with a motion detector security alarm system from ADT, door gates and video intercom. Please note there are stairs to reach the apartment. Quiet and safe street, family neighborhood, near parks, supermarkets, a wide spectrum of shopping options and fine restaurants. Enjoy why Park Slope was called New York's best neighborhood! A stroll down 5th avenue gives you the impression of being in a small town! 12 minutes to Manhattan, Chinatown, Wall Street, World Trade Center memorial, and 20 minutes to Times Square by subway.
5 minute walk to the Long Island Railroad with access to the Hamptons, Montauk, Fire Island, Jones Beach, etc.
Not suitable for receptions of any kind! This is a residential building with families and children. Please read my reviews. You will find lots of additional information there. I am a Superhost for the third year in a row!
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR VISITORS: The property is a two-family home. As such it is NOT subject to the new New York law, signed by the Governor of NY State in 2011, which prohibits the short-term rental of housing units. That law only applies to buildings, such as every apartment building in NYC, containing 3 or more 'dwelling units' (i.e., separate apartments). This home is not covered by this law because it is in a two family townhouse, and therefore the rental is completely legal. You may therefore be assured that renting will not be in violation of any laws and that you are at no risk of being unable to occupy the premises because the authorities have taken legal action against the property owner.
Deals are available for longer term stays. Very early (before 9:30am) or late (after 7:30pm) checkins and checkouts are subject to a 75$ fee.

The perfect balance between privacy and nature, and yet so close to all subways, restaurants and supermarkets. It is the perfect location!
Most convenient. It is easier to get anywhere for the Atlantic/ Barclay Center stop in. Brooklyn to any destination in Manhattan than actually being IN Manhattan. Most subway lines are a 3 minute walk from the apartment. In one stop on the D train. You are in Chinatown. In 10 minutes and three stops in downtown Manhattan near the ferries for Staten Island, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Grand Central Station and the Empire State Building is on a direct line on the 4/5 train in 20". Penn station also direct in 25". And you to home to a tree lined street with quiet families instead of traffic and fume clogged streets!
Other things to note
Charming restaurants are around the corner on 5th avenue. There's even a 3 star Michelin restaurant a 10 minute walk away. All forms of entertainment, sports, film, opera, concerts a 5" walk away at BAM, the Barclay Center, etc. Cute hipster bars everywhere with famous Brooklyn microbrewery beers. Sports bars also nearby. Parks nearby, the Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Garden close by. The perfect location!
No smoking, no pets, or parties and wedding receptions (or other reception parties). To use BBQ and jacuzzi bathtub, please consult with the person letting you in. Please be sure to understand security alarm system and to be respectful to works of art, furniture. Please report any breakages, and malfunctioning equipment immediately so they can be replaced before the next party arrives.
