For nature lovers there are 30km (20miles) of sign-posted footpaths through the Martana Hills and wild countryside, suitable for an hour’s ramble or whole day excursions.

Patrizia and her son are really friendly and welcoming people and they did their best to answer all our questions, enquiries and wishes before and during our stay. The house is as in the pictures, except of the amenities, which are even richer than described. The view is amazing and the surroundings very peaceful. We also very much enjoyed the surrounding forests soundscape performed by the birds.
The villa was magnificent. We enjoyed our trip immensely and Patrizia was the most generous host.
We stayed at Casale del Gallo in early July 2014. Fabrizio and Patrizia were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make us feel welcome when we arrived. The house is beautiful inside and out, and even too much room for our family of 5. Sitting on 5 hectares and beside a national park, there is loads of great walking and the area has countless vineyards (including the well known Arnoldo Caprai. Of all the places we stayed in Europe this is the house we enjoyed the most.
Beautiful refurbished old farmhouse, with great views, outdoor space and interior design. Patrizia and Fabrizio and very hospitable hosts and lovely people !
Casale del Gallo is a dream place. I traveled all around the world, but this is "a" magic place in the planet you will ever have the chance to be. It's much better than it looks in the pictures, there are so many details and fantastic furniture in this house with such a good taste perfectly put together that you feel excited to walk into this house, you can't believe is possible such a majestic combination of nature, architecture, furniture and commodities. The view it's awesome! The house is fully equipped with anything you can think of. If you need to throw a party this place is perfect. On top Patrizia and Fabrizio are fantastic people with great energy, they make us feel as if the house was ours. Definitely not the last time!
We enjoyed our stay very much. Patrizia and Fabrizio were fantastic hosts, they are really nice and warm hearted folks who went out of their way to welcome us and make us feel at home; they had arranged toys, beds and chairs for the kids, they even erected a tent for the kids to play in. The house is situated atop a small hill with a nice view towards the town of Todi in the far distance. Bevagna, Todi & Spoleto are all just some 30-45min drive away. We found the house was exquisitely and tastefully styled and the quality and the attention to detail of what's been done with this old manor was amazing.
The only downside was, that we thought we would find a dishwasher, WLAN and a functioning pool. Unfortunately that was not the case (the pool only opening in June). None of that could kill our overall content with our decision to stay at casale del gallo, and we'd happily return if these three items are fixed which I guess they soon will be.
