Simeon was very nice and accommodating.
He came to meet us at the apartment, showed us around and gave us a few pointers on the area.
His apartment is perfect for two people. The area is lovely, full of nice bars and restaurants. Having the subway station not even a minute down the road is perfect.
Looking forward to staying there again! Would recommend it to anyone.
I stayed in the apartment for a full week and it was great. I felt like a real Williamsburg resident. The apartment was private, quiet, and incredibly well located. Just steps to the Subway only 3 stops from Manhattan, 2 stops from trendy Bedford area of Willimasburg. Within the same block one could get coffee and breakfast, amazing pizza, groceries, and wine for a little wine shop...and more! Simeon is a very conscientious host, super friendly, and just a really nice guy. The views from the windows were of the sky, rooftops, and other buildings--meaning that you weren't staring into another apartment from your own. The furnishings are rather spartan, but the kitchen is well equipped. Go for a run to McCarran Park. I walked around Brooklyn and all over NYC until the wee hours of the night and never felt nervous or threatened. Here's a tip: buy the $30 7-day MTA pass and just zip all around on subways and buses. When arriving from JFK take AirTain to the A train to Broadway Junction, then take the L train toward Manhattan to Graham Ave and your like 50 feet from the front door. Enjoy!
Simeon was a great host, very nice and willing to help.
The best thing about this place is the location. Right next to the L train that takes you to manhattan in only 10 min and to other great areas in Brooklyn.
The apartment has everything one might need.
Graham avenue has lots of great restaurants, bars, supermarkets etc.
We loved our stay at Simeon´s place!
The perfect location ever!
The subway station is on the same block, and it will take you to Manatthan in 15 minutes.
The apartment is clean, well equipped and the neighborhood has everything one may need.
Although we didn't get a chance to meet Simeon he was always willing to answer our question and give us some good advice.
I definitely recommend the apartment and I hope to be able to go back there soon!
Simeon was very nice to work with. He was out of town during our stay at his place, so unfortunately we were not able to meet in person, but he was always very prompt in replying to online communication. The apartment is nice and in a great area. I highly recommend Tony's Pizza, Mesa Coyoacan, Mother's (all on Graham), and the Bagel Store which is located on Metropolitan. We had breakfast every morning at Variety, just a minute away from the apartment. Their almond croissants are amazing!
Also, the L-train stop is just right on the corner of Graham and Metropolitan; very convenient to get into Manhattan.
We would definitely stay in Simeon's place again. We had originally booked a hotel in the area, but the cost would have been over $2,000 for the nine nights we were there. So Simeon's place is well worth the savings. It isn't a 5 star hotel, but if you're looking to save money on a place to stay, then please consider this apartment.
We hope to meet Simeon next time we are in New York.
Great location for exploring both Brooklyn and Manhattan - right above the L line (which is better than the J ). The immediate neighbourhood is totally safe and has everything you could need within a 5min walk - 3 supermarkets, laundry, bagel place, cheap eats, nice restaurants, small bars - but we spent most of time in other neighbourhoods in any case.
The flat itself is basic but perfect for us. Didn't cook in the kitchen. Bathroom is fine - good shower. We were there in September and definitely got warm but there are two AC units so was perfect.
Simeon was really welcoming and helpful. Met us on our first day there and easy to contact before and during our stay for the questions we had.
Simeon was a great host. The apartment is perfectly located to visit/walk around Brooklyn and is a 1 minute walk to the subway to get into Manhattan which only takes 15 minutes max. Very convenient. The flat is clean and well set up. I definitely recommend renting this apartment.
