Lorenzo's two bedroom apartment in the historic heart of Rome must be seen to be believed. Spacious and airy, with air conditioning for those hot Roman days, it is literally a few steps from Piazza Navona and the Pantheon. It has everything you need for a comfortable week in Rome.
We were welcomed by one of Lorenzo'd employees who did everything he could to make our stay comfortable.
location is perfect and the two bedrooms with bathrooms provided privacy for two couples. apartment had everything available to make for a comfortable stay.
Lorenzo was fantastic with communication and also booked two transfer journeys form us which made for a very smooth ride from the train station then on departure to the airport.
Would recommend staying here.
As we had to check out of our previous hotel by 10:00 am it was very kind of Lorenzo to allow us to check in early as we were just 500 meters away. This was our second stay at Orso house so we knew where to was located. As a matter of fact we have a favorite Rome cafe very close to this apartment. We love the location of Orso house as it is very quite but very centrally located for visiting the best of central Rome. The apartment is warm, quiet and comfortable. The Wi-Fi works well and is reliable.
Everything went according to the script. Our Taxi driver found the address easily and we were delivered right to the front door. We joined two other friends for 6 days together in Rome after a few months in Italy. We are also booked to return in 10 days to catch up with some other friends from the UK for New Year in Rome.
The apartment is spacious and very quiet. The kitchen is fairly typical of Rome apartments and only really meant for the occasional meal preparation (we only had breakfasts in as there are so many great restaurants nearby why would we bother cooking?).
The WiFi is strong and very reliable. We only had one issue and that was a building fault with the hot water one night but the building supervisor rectified the issue next day (not the fault with the apartment). The lift was great so we didn't have to drag our luggage up flights of stairs.
We are looking forward to returning in 10 days.
What a great location, near enough to walk to most sights, we were met at the apartment, which is very spacious and was perfect for us, being 2 couples!
The beds were very comfy and lovely bed linen.
All in all a very nice experience.
The little cafe called papa's downstairs has great food too!
This was our first experience dealing with airbnb and it wasn't the best.
First, the good: the location of the apartment was excellent, very walkable to everything; the apartment was spacious; the arranged driver to the airport was prompt and very friendly; the couple who met us at the apartment were helpful with directions and other information.
Now, the not so good: we received several emails from '(website hidden)' asking for more information (don't know who '(website hidden)' is); we never met nor spoke to the person who was supposed to check us in (Honey), but there were two other people at the apartment (Honey's relatives maybe?); I was asked to sign a document stating that we still owed another $400, even though we had fully paid the rental charges at time of booking; two of us got stuck in the elevator when it broke down; and the bathrooms needed more cleaning.
Overall, the apartment was just ok, but we would not stay here again.
Dear Carolyn, thank you for writing in and I'm sorry to read that your first airbnb experience wasn't to your liking. I'm the CEO of Rome loft and this is why you got emails from there. I post my properties on airbnb and on there as well. It's strange that you would be asked to pay again!? This never happens as both platforms are updated at the same time to show that you have paid through airbnb at point of booking. So I'm really really sorry that there was confusion for your booking. I will have to re-visit your booking and see what went wrong.
I really hope that I'll have a chance to welcome you in another one of my apartments in the future! Thank you again! -Lorenzo
Great place. Clean and beautiful. Everything is convenient. We hope it will be available next time we're visiting Rome. Thank you Lorenzo.
