Charming, convenient, comfortable condo! Warm and often sunny, even when Boston is frigid. Enjoy a bedroom with an exceptional view of Boston in a modern loft-style condo building. Floor to ceiling windows, high ceilings, open layout, full kitchen, large bathroom with a fantastic 3-way shower (see reviews), and incredible roof deck with view of the whole city, benches and a grill for communal use. 5th floor, with elevator. Super location: 1block from T stop on the Red Line, convenient to downtown, Harvard, MIT, Mass General Hospital. Lots of great restaurants and theaters nearby. A wonderful breakfast diner on the corner for huge old-fashioned breakfasts. Walk to the Convention Center, to the financial district along the Fort Point Channel, and to the South End, just over the 4th Street Bridge, with lots of excellent restaurants. Walk to the Prudential Center and Newbury Street. For non-walkers: excellent public transportation: T and several buses nearby. One stop from South Station and direct from Logan Airport via Silver and Red Lines. No smoking please. Prefer short term rentals only. WiFi, cable TV, and a piano, Check-in and check-out times are flexible, depending on my work schedule that day.
Two words; THE BEST!
Laurie, I cannot say kinder words for you than you were so welcoming, felt like home with you. The subtle nuisances of the loft make the stay complete.
Perfectly located for access to T (subway), rental bike location nearby and ideal for attendees of Convention Center.
I would live with Laurie if she'd take me :)))
Laurie was a wonderful host, who left clear instructions on how to find her place and make your way in. Laurie is the kind of host AirBNB dreams about: the person who you arrive and feel you already know; with a simple easy to adapt to space and clear instructions: every travelers wish. She did a great job of describing what she offered and her space was warm (cozy!) and in a perfect location for reaching downtown; which I just walked to the next day. Lovely high ceilings apt., a safe, easy walk to the water front, hot shower, what else? I slept like a baby. 100% recommendation. I would stay there again!
Laurie is a great host. She is very helpful when you have questions about the town. She is sharing a wonderful, cleaned up appartement with you and you have your own bathroom. There may be traffic noise from the street, so don't forget an ear muff.
Laurie was a gracious host and very communicative with me after my flight ended up being delayed and I needed to modify by meet up time.
Overall the apartment is wonderful and a fantastic value. It's in a great location, with the red line a few minutes away walk away to get into downtown Boston. The apartment itself was very comfortable and nice. A bit upscale with a unique and lovely style to it.
Very nice private home. Laurie the owner was there to greet me and was very hospitable. Great location on the edge of South Boston section of the city, easy street parking if needed. Great for an individual who is willing to arrive by 10pm and leave when Laurie leaves. Laurie is very kind and super respectful of her neighbors with small children. If you can be flexible with your schedule, this is perfect for a one-night stay.
Laurie and her place were very pleasant. Laurie was extremely accommodating and provided exactly directions and recommended some great places to eat. I was in Boston on business and choose Laurie's place because it was easy, straight 20 min. Walk to BCEC on Summer St.
Thank you very everything.
Laurie graciously saved my trip by confirming a same-day reservation in the early morning. I've lived in several apartments located in center city locations, and her placed surprised me...while the bedroom itself is very nice, the large private bathroom and living area is huge, and very welcoming and cozy. She's a very responsible host, its clear she takes pride in her apartment and treats her guests with equal hospitality and respect. (She woke me up so I wouldn't miss a flight, need I say more?)
And to the reviewer who found it noisy: I just closed the window in the bedroom, noise is a byproduct of living in a city. And it is possible to open the tall blinds, Laurie leaves a page of instructions with good info like this upon arrival.
Lovely apartment with large bed and super bathroom which is perfectly located very close to metro station. Laurie is a very kind person, even took me to a fruit and vegetable market in the early morning. Very recommendable.
Laurie was a friendly and accommodating hostess. It was my first time as an Airbnb guest and it was a great experience, so great that I would not hesitate to recommend Laurie's guest room to any one visiting Boston. The view from my room was superb, the bed comfortable and the bathroom excellent with a huge shower. Thanks again Laurie and I hope to see you in London. Regards Carolyn
