About this listing
I am leaving my room due to study abroad. My mom is left alone. To not let her to get bored I decided to rent out my room.
Tenants should be female. We want someone who will stay long term, but short stays are also possible.
There is a single bed and a sofa bed for 2 persons. I have lots of artistic stuff and piano in the room which you are always welcome to use. Also there is a PC
which you may use as well.
Our neighborhood is very quiet and relatively close to the city center. You can reach the downtown in 10 minutes by bus (the bus station is in 100 m) or by metro (the closest metro station is 7 min walk). The nearest shop is 50 meters away.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask me. My mom is very hospitable and she will be happy to accommodate you.
Please do not smoke in the appartment
I was welcomed and my Baku times were made most enjoyable by Nasiba (Dilara's mother). First of all, the location was very handy for me: ADA University, where I spent most of my time, is just 10 min away by walking. The place was very clean and comfortable. It felt like home without the contraints of a home :) I thank Nasiba for making my Baku times most memorable. I would highly recommend anyone who wishes to visit Baku to stay at this place, especially those who wish to get a real life glimpse (and taste).
I'm really happy that I stayed at Dilara's place. It was like at home. Dilara's mother treated me like her own daughter, always eager to help. The flat is cute and worm. I can recommend the place for anyone, who is looking for nice staying in Baku.
I really love my time at Nasiba's (Delya's mother). The description was perfectly matching the place and the apartment is very conveniently located (only a few bus stops from the city center). Additionally, I experienced a lovely hospitality: food and amazing chats (I had the chance to practice my basic Russian. Delya was very helpful at giving directions. I would definitely come back there and recommend it to everybody.
I can't think of a better way to discover Baku. The apartment is well located with easy metro and bus connections downtown. It is quiet, flooded with light, spacious and immaculately clean. But what made my first visit to Azerbaijan so special was Nasiba, Dilara's mother.
Nasiba is a modern, professional Baku woman and also hospitable, charming and very caring. I enjoyed her company and conversations. I really felt "at home". Should I come back to Baku, I would like very much to stay here again. Thanks also to Dilara for making it all so easy prior to arrival.
I highly recommend staying at Dilara's home. Her mother Nasiba is kind and caring. She makes you feel right at home, but also gives you space and privacy. Dilara is very responsive and attended to all of my pre-departure questions. By far the homiest Air BnB experience I have had to date!
Some logistical details:
Nasiba and I communicated in Turkish. The house is about a 25 minute walk from the city center. There is also a bus stop right across the street from the house.
I spent such a lovely time with Delya's mum Nasiba. She was so kind and good natured, treating me like one of the family and sharing delicious food with me constantly. Staying at her apartment was a great way to be in Baku and get to know an area outside the more touristy old city. I would certainly recommend staying with her if you want to be in a calm, welcoming environment, though it might not be the place for you if you want to go clubbing all night (which I didn't)!!
Delya was also very helpful in setting everything up, for which I'm very thankful.
I had a lovely time staying at this home. Before my trip, Dilara was very helpful about answering my questions via email and helping me look up how to take the bus to Gobustan. When I arrived at the apartment, the host, Nasiba, was also very helpful. Although it was sometimes difficult to communicate, Google Translate was useful. Nasiba was very welcoming and often joined me for tea and snacks that she had prepared. She even took me to the bus station to make sure that I would find it without any problems. If I am ever in Baku again, I would gladly stay with Nasiba again. The apartment can be a little hard to find, so make sure you bring Nasiba's phone number in case you (or your taxi driver) can't find the right place.
