Both villas are identical and can be rented together. Each villa is private and separated by lush gardens and space. Even when you are outside, you'll have your own private space to indulge in.
It was a wonderful experience. Just as the name mentions it is 'Perfect for Couples'. Ketuat and his family was of great help. The proximity of the villa is also very good in terms of the market and food outlets. The experience was a BLISS.
Sabina's staff were fantastic -some of the nicest people ever put on our planet!
We had a wonderful time and nothing was too much trouble for them. We recommend this place and would like to return.
We love Penestanan. We loved Amomaya House.
It was exactly as described in the listing.
We travelled with another couple who booked the other villa so we had the place all to ourselves.
The staff were great. Putu and Made kept things spotless and made great breakfasts. Ketut's father made sure the grounds were kept clean and tidy and made sure all was good at the end of the day.
We will be back.
The villa was more than expected & we enjoyed our stay.
Ketut was very helpful, kind & welcoming along with all the staff.
Ketut the owner also helped us with transport for dinner & for around Ubud which was an extra bonus.
The pool was beautiful & we wish we stayed longer.
We would highly recommend this villa & hope to one day come back.
Just had an absolutely wonderful stay in Ubud. Loved the tranquil location, hospitatliy, and helpfulness of all staff. Especially owners Ketut and Mademaya. Room was very clean, pool was exceptional, and enjoyed the home-cooked breakfast each morning. Very pleasant stay. Would recommend to all!
The villa itself is very nice, a big modern bathroom and large bedroom and adequate kitchen. Outside there is a great covered area where you can still enjoy fresh air during rain. Beyond that, the garden is absolutely beautiful, like a dense perimeter of tropical rainforest. Soft grass underfoot and a gorgeous pool. The pool is shared so it will depend on who is in the second villa, but generally we felt like we had the entire grounds to ourselves. I would highly recommend this villa for a couple, for a pair of couples, or a small family.
We just stayed for Amomaya for a week. It was lovely but know that it's quite far from Ubud by foot. By the end of the week, we really wished we could have rented a scooter but we don't hold licenses, nor can we drive on the left side of the road! To get into central Ubud, it's a trek on a busy, busy road into Ubud, not ideal for kids or nervous old ladies like me. Other than that, it's peaceful and worth the $. A negative was that the internet barely worked (the signal is very weak in the villa that does not have the router) and we didn't have a TV in the one villa (though we were paying the same price). There are staff members on the grounds almost 24/7 which is convenient but not as private as we would have liked. Be sure to check out the amazing rice field walks surrounding the villa! Also, Putu, the house "assistant" was awesome, but couldn't give directions or much advice about Ubud. Her coffee and crepes make up for that though. All the locals are nice and always offer a smile and a "Halo"! Be sure to eat at Warung Mendez and pick up some art while you're there!
My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Amomaya. It was so very peaceful! We will certainly stay again, and encourage anyone thinking of spending time here to do so. It is such a special part of the world, with wonderful hosts :)
This is a beautiful place to stay. It is conveniently located near downtown Ubud (20 - 30 mins by foot or 10K-20K IDR by Taxi). The entire villa is perfectly clean and well-maintained. Likewise, the villa's caretakers were were helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for folks staying in Ubud.
It was so good we wished we owned it! As the listing says, perfect for couples and very private. No point trying to give a description as the pictures on Airbnb are a very accurate representation. Bed extra large and super comfy, the a/c is effective and quiet.
Be aware that, at the time of our stay, only one of the villas has TV so if that's important to you specify the one furthest from the entrance gate. The wifi router is also located there which makes for a more consistent service. Don't expect to stream video as the line speed is 0.5 mbs!
It's not too far down the rice field track from the main road, takes less than 5 minutes to walk but you'll need a torch at night so take one with you. We walked to Ubud once but never again, it's not so much the distance but the first kilometre that is on a very busy road with no sidewalks -better to take a taxi (£1.50) or rent a scooter.
The "Dreams" cafe is less than 100 metres up the track and has good variety at great prices.
The owner of Amomaya, Made, was always on hand in the morning with Puto to make breakfast at whatever time you desire, it's now IRP60000 for 2 but is still fantastic value for money.
Sabina, the Airbnb host, is a near neighbour of Made and helps with the internet and Airbnb listing.
All in all a great stay and a good Airbnb experience.
