  • We spent 7 nights there and we had a great time. The villa was kept clean and comfortable, the pool was perfect, the staff were helpful and friendly.
The place is nicely located, about 15-20min walk from central Ubud, in a quiet spot away from the traffic. Perfect place if you want to relax. Recommended.

  • We cannot say enough wonderful things about Amomaya House. We chose to stay here for the first leg of our honeymoon and it was perfect!

Sabina was a wonderful communicator and put us in the caring hands of Ketut, Made and Putu.

The place was serene, the staff was friendly and we really enjoyed the location. About a 15 minute walk to the center of Ubud, it was close enough to walk to wonderful warungs and Alchemy (which was my personal favorite for breakfast), but if you want more traditional breakfast, no problem! Putu or Made will make this for you for an extra charge of roughly $5 US per day! It was always fresh and wonderful!

The place has a refreshing and clean pool we enjoyed thoroughly to beat Bali's heat!

Ketut was a wonderful driver and connected us with a wonderful bike tour called Bali on Bike. This was great and we highly recommend. It is run by a man named Dewa.

We will always have the fondest memories of Amomaya and are so happy we chose to stay! We hope to be back and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to truly relax in Udud.

  • I had an enjoyable, peaceful time staying at this villa. Located at the end of a narrow pathway with a few other residences (and rice patty), this is a great place for a solo traveler or a couple. The pool was a lovely treat and a perfect way to unwind at the end of each day. I would definitely recommend.

  • The owner of Amomaya House is local Balinese- Ketut and his wife made. It has 2 vilas sitting next to each other sharing a pool. We stayed in Amomaya for 7 nights, we loved the garden full of exotic flowers and plants which planted by made’s father. We enjoyed the swimming pool, my 4 year old daughter dipped into pool everyday. The entire space was kept clean. Ketut was very helpful and kind , we learned lots of local culture from him. He is not only the owner of house, but also a taxi driver at spare time. His taxi charges cheaper than average price! Made- Ketut’s wife comes to house everyday to make us breakfast and offers tip on daily schedule. It is an exceptional experience by watching her doing every day ceremony as what Hindus, which we loves, Balinese culture.

I have already introduced Amomaya to my friends!

Amomaya house Located at the end of a narrow pathway with a few other residences with rice patty surrounded, but the pathway is a bit bump and might not be very safe for the young kids. I hope the it could be renovated to smooth brick road , when I come next time!

  • Oh where to begin! Ubud was magical, the villa was a garden paradise; Ketut, Wayan and the staff welcomed me like family and Sabina was most helpful and friendly in coordinating everything prior to the trip! Thank you so so much for welcoming me to Ubud -- Looking forward to the next time I return!

  • We love Penestanan. We loved Amomaya House.
It was exactly as described in the listing.
We travelled with another couple who booked the other villa so we had the place all to ourselves.
The staff were great. Putu and Made kept things spotless and made great breakfasts. Ketut's father made sure the grounds were kept clean and tidy and made sure all was good at the end of the day.
    We will be back.

  • We stayed at Amomaya House for four nights and had a great time. We booked both rooms and had the whole place to ourselves. The pool is lovely and the gardens are beautiful. You feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The villa is a five minute walk down a quiet lane and you are really in the countryside when at the villa. Rice fields surround you and you see more locals than tourists which is a good thing.
The family who own the villa were very friendly and prepared us a very nice breakfast everyday.
Although you are pretty far from the centre of ubud, you still have good choices for restaurants close to the villa, and after visiting ubud once we didn't need to go back there as its way too busy and the peace and quiet of the village where the villa is is much more appealing.

We look forward to coming back to the village and staying at Amomaya House.

Thank you Sabina and Mademaya for making our stay special.
