Interaction with Guests
Staff is available to take care of all your housekeeping needs. You won't lift a finger!
Staying at Amomaya was delightful. Although there are two villas on the property, the lush and well cared for landscaping created the feeling as if we had our own private villa and pool. The property was ultra clean, had quality design, materials and furnishings and a friendly yet unobtrusive staff. The neighborhood was upscale and ideal for walking into town, too. We highly recommend.
Regarding the villa itself, the situation is quite closed for the main attraction of Ubud, therefore no real need for taxi in the day.
I didn't pay attention enough to the description so we were expecting private pool, which is clearly not the case... Shared for 2 villas, which isn't a drama at all.
The garden is really beautiful and well maintained.
The top of the top, the best is by far the service, Made, Ketut, Putu and Erich are absolutely very nice, very helpful. We loved being treated by them so carefully.
Not a long stay but a enjoying stay
Great place to stay with lovely staff on hand to help and clean the rooms each day. The breakfasts they cooked were very good and were very much welcomed as a our first meal in Ubud.
Sabina was very quick to respond to questions and messages via AirBnB also kindly arranged a driver to take us from the airport to the villa for a reasonable cost.
Location wise, there are quite a few decent restaurants nearby such as Clear Cafe (which has a great view overlooking a temple) and as it is away from the main road, peaceful at night.
I echo some of the other reviewers comments on the path from the main road to the villa being quite dark and would recommend to bring a torch of some sort.
The walk to city centre and back was fine but did require to walk on the roads for a bit as there was no path. However, the drivers there will go round you with little problem. Just be careful round blind corners.
A taxi from the villa to the centre is around 50,000 rupiah which at the current rate is equivalent to £2-3.
Our stay at Villa Amomaya was really special. The villa and the pool are really beautiful. Ketut and the staff are really kind and generous. We ordered breakfast each morning and it was delicious! The location is great, with a taxi rank just at the start of the laneway. Highly recommend.
