Villa was great - immaculately clean and very well looked after. It's off the beaten track - a little green oasis of calm with a plunge pool in Penestenan (an artsy suburb just on the edge of Ubud as the town gives way to the rice paddies).
We did have some issues with hot water but these we're sorted out in double quick time by Sabina and one of the management staff who are always close by.
It is a little bit further out from the heart of Ubud than we thought - about a 15-20minute hilly walk. Be prepared to either get a little bit sweaty walking into town or have some change for a (phone number hidden) rupiah taxi ride.
Sabina was also really helpful sorting out a pick up from down in South Kuta which made our transfer completely stress free.
Villa was exactly as depicted in pictures. Huge, comfortable
Bed, immaculate grounds with a lovely pool. Water provided was a very welcome and unexpected addition. Located down a quiet street, with a few eateries along the way, really close to the amazing Alchemy rW vegan restaurant, and a short walk to intuitive flow yoga. About 20-30 mins walk into central Ubud. The walk down to the villa is paved but a little uneven, I don't recommend wheelie suitcases. Staff very good and unobtrusive. Grounds and pool are shared by the two villas, but in out five days there we barely saw the other guests. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Loved it.
Amomaya House- a little piece of paradise. With quiet surroundings, a lovely pool and garden, I had a great stay.
The staff was very friendly, impeccable housekeeping, the breakfast served inhouse is an absolute must.
Can recommend renting a scooter since it is a bit outside of "central" Ubud, although there are some places for dining and and a drink in the neighborhood. The staff can help with rental and many other things?
Can recommend the Cantika Jamine spa just around the corner had, a great massage there.
The pictures in the add doesn't do the place justice.
I would happily return to Amomaya!
The Amomaya villa was beautiful in a lovely area of Ubud. We stayed for two days and had a great time. The villa is kind of hard to find and no taxis will be able to take you all the way. Sadly Sabina didn't answer our calls or messages when arriving at the villa so we had to spend a long time finding it on our own, which as I mentioned earlier was difficult. None the less a beautiful villa with lovely staff and would recommend to anybody who is going to Ubud.
This was a return visit for me because the villas are so lovely and very quiet. The villa is well appointed, very clean and well laid out. All the fittings and fixtures are high quality and functional. The external aspect is beautiful- the pool is lovely and a welcome relief after walking around Ubud all day. The staff provided delicious breakfasts for a reasonable cost and the rooms were cleaned every day. I had a wonderful stay and would stay again if visiting Ubud. All the arrangements for taxis to and from the airport were easily arranged.
Beautiful house in a beautiful garden, down a quiet road. Staff are really friendly and very capable. Highly recommended!
The house shares a small swimming pool with one other house but the two houses are nicely designed so you can easily relax in your own private outdoor space. It's in a nice part of Ubud not so far from the central area. Breakfast at 30,000 rupiah per person is recommended, and presented so well. We were looked after by friendly kind people. Really nice place to stay.
