One of us was slightly handicapped and has difficulties with balance. The stairs from downstairs to the shower in the first floor do not have a handrail and it was hard to get there without help of others. So I would recommend installing handrail in those stairs.

Christian's house is definitely quirky, the beds are comfortable and the washing machine essential for a four week stay. The old quarter is easily walk able from the house. We loved Arles and the surrounding area.

The house is very unique and I love the decor. The host was very attentive and we felt very welcome. The location is a bit noisy between hearing the neighbors and street traffic. We loved the city of Arles!

Fantastic home with tremendous uniqueness and character in a great location in Arles. Great collection of rooms on multiple floors indoor and out are awesome. Very walkable to sights, restaurants, and cafes. Only issue is that summer temps in Arles in the high 90sF (37C) can be quite daunting for a place without AC or fans. Spiral stairs have fantastic character, but may be a bit of challenge for some - especially if you have large or heavy bags. Best to travel light.

Fantastic house, very unique and welcoming. Our family of grandparents, parents and two kids ages 7 and 11 enjoyed our stay. Even though we did not meet Christian personally his friend welcomed us at the specified time and was very helpful with house and parking explanations. The house was fully equipped and just as described on the website. Excellent location within walking distance of cafes, small shops and a small supermarket. Ideally situated to visit other towns in this region of Provence, the town is charing and we highly recommend the market on Saturday. We would go back to Christian's house in a heart beat. Thank you Christian!

We stayed in the maison du port for ten days and it was the perfect Location for us during that time. It is located near the Arlesian sights and a good starting point to discover the region as you can reach the autoroutes around very fast and easily. Also, if you travel by car, don't miss the free car park at the end of the quai (you have to drive past the place-name sign, but it really isn't far). Camille was also very nice and communication was quick and easy! The only improvement concerns the dishwasher: After running, the dishes came out not very clean so we had to wash them by hand again. It seems to need a checkup. Nevertheless we'd come again, and thanks for the nice time in Arles!
